Esteemed Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman recently reminisced about her illustrious past during an engaging Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit, where she fondly recalled a fan who mistakenly referred to her as Parveen Babi.

Known for her legendary roles in classic films like *Satyam Shivam Sundaram* and *Dostana*, Zeenat shared insights about memorable interactions with fans, the transformation of the film industry over the years, and the characters she dreams of portraying.

One particularly memorable moment emerged when a fan admitted to confusing Zeenat with the late Parveen Babi during their childhood. Zeenat graciously acknowledged that such mix-ups were not uncommon during her heyday. “Parveen was stunning, so I didn’t mind it either!” she remarked. However, she also recounted a poignant incident in Dubai where a fan enthusiastically mistook her for Parveen Babi after the latter’s passing. “It was so uncomfortable, and I had to inform that heartbroken fan that her favorite actress is no longer with us,” Zeenat revealed.

Another fan inquired about any recent Bollywood roles she wished she could have played. Zeenat surprised many by expressing her desire to take on Priyanka Chopra’s role in *Bajirao Mastani*. “I don’t know if I would have done it justice, but I would have loved the opportunity to portray Priyanka’s character. It was a complex role that really intrigued me,” she confessed.

Her admission garnered admiration from fans, many of whom could envision how Zeenat would have infused her unique charisma into the role of Kashibai.

When discussing the evolution of the film industry over the decades, Zeenat offered a heartfelt perspective. While acknowledging the valid criticisms often directed at Bollywood, she highlighted the significant progress in women’s involvement behind the scenes. “I understand that the Hindi film industry gets criticized, and rightly so at times. However, a major positive change I’ve noticed is the increasing presence of women in every aspect of filmmaking, asserting their place with competence. In my time, it was not unusual to be the only woman on set! This is a remarkable difference from then to now,” she shared.

On the professional front, Zeenat Aman was last seen in *Bun Tikki*, alongside Shabana Azmi. Directed by Faraz Arif Ansari, the film had its world premiere at the prestigious Palm Springs Festival 2025.
