Shashi Kapoor was more than a Bollywood superstar; he served as a cultural link between India and the global cinema landscape. His impressive filmography includes hits like ‘Deewar’, ‘Trishul’, and ‘Namak Halaal’, in addition to notable collaborations with Merchant Ivory that showcased his remarkable versatility.
As the youngest son of Prithviraj Kapoor and brother to Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor, he was born into the distinguished Kapoor family. His cinematic journey began as a child actor in titles such as ‘Aag’ (1948) and ‘Dana Pani’ (1953), with his first lead role in ‘Dharmputra’ (1961), a bold narrative tackling the complexities of Partition.

By the 1970s, Shashi Kapoor had solidified his status as a box-office sensation, sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan in several iconic films, including ‘Kabhi Kabhie’, ‘Suhaag’, and ‘Roti Kapda Aur Makaan’.
However, acting was just one facet of his impressive legacy. He was also an ardent producer and theatre lover, helping to revive and cultivate Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai, which became a vibrant hub for stage performances.
Over his illustrious four-decade career, Shashi Kapoor received numerous accolades, including four National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards. He was honored with the Padma Bhushan in 2011 and the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2014, recognizing his invaluable contributions to Indian cinema.
Despite his remarkable success, he remained humble and approachable, celebrated for his kindness and generosity. His passing in 2017 left an irreplaceable void in Indian cinema.

BBK12: A major fight broke out in the Bigg Boss Kannada house during the nomination task on Tuesday. As per the rules of the task, contestants had to nominate a housemate by pushing them into the swimming pool.

During her turn, Kavya nominated Gailli and Rajath. When Rajath asked her for a valid reason, Kavya said that Rajath always supports only one side in the house. This comment upset Rajath, and an argument began between the two. Rajath questioned Kavya, asking whether his friendly and humorous behaviour with her was causing any problem.
