Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor is currently captivated by one of her mother Sridevi’s classic films, “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari.”
Recently, she watched the re-released version and was truly mesmerized by the enchanting experience brought to life by the film’s talented team.

Janhvi took to Instagram to express her enthusiasm, saying, “Obsessed with this jacket!!!! Obsessed with this movie!!!! I had the pleasure of rewatching the re-released print a couple of days ago, and it reminded me of the magic created by the whole team…”

Praising the film’s lead actors, Sridevi and Chiranjeevi, she added, “Mumma looks like a fairy princess—so funny and adorable! And @chiranjeevikonidela sir, with his unique humor, bravado, and charm, makes their chemistry unforgettable. The vision of Raghavendra sir, the brilliance of Amrish Puri sir, along with the music, sets, costumes, and storyline—all the actors contributed beautifully!”

To celebrate the 35th anniversary, the film was re-released in theaters on May 9. Janhvi described this revival as a gift to cinema lovers, writing, “This new print couldn’t have been curated better, providing a visual feast that rivals contemporary films. Directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, the film tells the story of a man who discovers a powerful ring, while the goddess who lost it seeks to reclaim it and return to her world. When it was released on May 9, 1990, “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari” became the highest-grossing Telugu film of its time.

On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor is eagerly awaiting the releases of several exciting projects, including “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” with Varun Dhawan and “Param Sundari” alongside Sidharth Malhotra.
