Where Have Over 100 Girls Gone Missing From the Bihar Border?

Patna: More than 100 girls have mysteriously gone missing from the India–Nepal border in the past six months, raising serious concerns among families living in the region. Human trafficking syndicates operating across Nepal, China, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and other countries are allegedly buying these girls for huge sums of money.

So far, only 12 girls have been rescued, including four from the same family. Police have not yet found any clues about the remaining missing girls.

Human rights lawyer has filed petitions with both the National Human Rights Commission and the Bihar State Human Rights Commission, demanding a high-level investigation into the issue.

83 Girls Missing From Bihar in Just Six Months

According to Lawyer, between July and November, 83 girls disappeared from areas like Raxaul, Adapur and Ramgarhwa.

Are These Girls Being Trafficked Abroad?

Traffickers are reportedly luring girls with false promises of marriage or jobs and sending them to Jammu & Kashmir, Puducherry, China, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, other Gulf nations, and even Argentina. Many are believed to be trafficked for forced marriage, surrogacy, prostitution, and even organ trade.

This disturbing case raises serious questions about police action and the functioning of local administration. Human rights authorities are now expected to launch a thorough investigation.

 Government Bus Overturns; Conductor Dies in Tragic Accident

Devadurga: A tragic road accident occurred near Devadurga on the morning of December 9 when a government bus overturned, resulting in the death of the conductor.

The bus was travelling from Raichur taluk toward Anchisuguru village when the driver reportedly lost control. The vehicle veered off the road and fell onto nearby land. The impact caused severe injuries to the bus conductor, Basavaraju (42).

He was rushed to a private hospital for treatment. However, despite medical efforts, he did not respond and was declared dead.

Two passengers and a group of school students who were on board escaped with minor injuries. They received first aid and are reported to be safe.

Father Throws Daughter Into Canal Over Suspicion; Girl Reappears After Two Months

Chandigarh: In a shocking incident from Firozpur district, a father allegedly tied his 17-year-old daughter’s hands and legs and threw her into a canal, suspecting her character. The incident took place on September 29 and was even recorded on video.

The girl survived and has now appeared before the media, explaining how she escaped. She said the canal was overflowing and the rope on her hands loosened. While struggling in the water, she hit a metal bar and held on to it until she reached the shore.

Three bypassers noticed her and took her to a safe place, where she stayed for two months due to health issues.

Police had already arrested her father based on a complaint filed by a relative, and he has been in judicial custody since then.

The girl has now requested authorities to release her father, saying he acted in anger while drunk and that there is no one else to take care of her younger sisters.

Police are continuing the investigation, and the case may be changed from attempted murder to a lesser charge based on the new statement.

Couple Set to Marry on December 20 Dies in Tragic Road Accident

Koppal: In a heartbreaking incident near Benakal village in Gangavati taluk, a young couple who were preparing for their wedding lost their lives in a horrific road accident. The couple was returning home after completing their pre-wedding photoshoot when the tragedy occurred.

 

 

The deceased have been identified as Kariyappa Madival (26) of Hanumanahatti village in Koppal taluk and Kavita Pavadeppa Madival (19) of Mushtoor village in Karatagi taluk. Their wedding was planned for December 20, and all arrangements had already been made. The couple had completed their pre-wedding shoot at Hosapete, Pampavana, and Munirabad and were on their way back when the accident took place.

According to reports, the couple was travelling on a bike when a speeding lorry rammed into them. The impact was severe, and both died on the spot. The incident has left both families devastated, turning a house of celebration into one of mourning.

A case has been registered at the Gangavati Rural Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
