The creators of ‘Way Back Love’ have unveiled new stills from the much-anticipated drama, hinting at a captivating storyline. The show features Gong Myung, known for his role in ‘Be Melodramatic’, alongside Kim Min Ha, who rose to fame in ‘Pachinko’. This coming-of-age tale follows two high school sweethearts whose paths unexpectedly cross years later during a surreal encounter.

‘Way Back Love’ is a fantasy romance featuring Kim Min Ha as Hee Wan, a 24-year-old woman who has shut herself off from the world after losing her will to live. Once vibrant and full of life, she has turned away from her former self. Just a week before what she believes to be her end, her childhood friend and first love, Ram Woo (portrayed by Gong Myung), appears at her door as a grim reaper. Shocked to see someone she thought was lost to her years ago, this meeting alters the course of their lives.

In anticipation of its premiere, the production team has released stills showcasing the chemistry between the two leads. In one image, they share an intense gaze, their emotions expressing the depth of their connection without words. Another shot captures them sitting closely, appearing deep in thought or conversation. The final image depicts Ram Woo’s shocking entrance as the grim reaper, where Hee Wan gently touches his face to confirm she isn’t dreaming. These visuals suggest a tender narrative filled with nostalgia.

Previously, an intense teaser for ‘Way Back Love’ was revealed. It begins with Kim Ram Woo enthusiastically sharing his newfound passion with Jung Hee Wan. Together, they embrace their student days to the fullest. However, the joyful atmosphere quickly shifts, and time jumps forward to show a 24-year-old Jung Hee Wan, who is devoid of hope. Just as she nears the end of her journey, Kim Ram Woo reappears at her door as a grim reaper, having passed away four years prior. He calls her by her name, reminiscent of their school days, and asks, “Didn’t you miss me all this time?” before the clip fades to black.

TVING’s ‘Way Back Love’ is set to premiere on April 3.
