Meghalaya: A brief standoff took place between the Border Security Force (BSF) of India and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at the India-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya.

The incident involved a 55-year-old Bangladeshi man named Sati Rajbanshi, who was allegedly caught after entering India illegally. The BSF tried to send him back to Bangladesh, but the BGB initially refused to accept him, claiming he was an Indian citizen.

As a result, the man remained stranded in the no-man’s land between the two countries for some time. Officials from both sides held discussions, but the issue was not immediately resolved.

Later, Bangladeshi authorities verified the man’s identity and accepted him. The situation ended peacefully without any violence.
