Viineet Kumar Singh Opens Up: “I Don’t Just Act; I Embody the Story”
Early in his career, Viineet showcased his depth as an actor through roles like Veer Singh in **’Bard of Blood’** and Vikram Sirohi in **’Betaal’**, demonstrating his commitment to storytelling that goes beyond the surface. In recent years, however, he has elevated his craft to new heights.
His portrayal of Kavi Kailash in **’Chhaava’**, alongside Vicky Kaushal, earned widespread acclaim for not only his strong presence but also the authenticity he infused into the role.
Following that, in **’In Super Boys of Malegaon’**, he portrayed Forogh, seamlessly merging with the character’s world. In **’Jaat’**, his role as Somulu resonated deeply with audiences, showcasing his remarkable ability to convey raw and genuine emotions. He further captivated viewers in **’Match Fixing’** as Avinash Patwardhan.

So, what drives this consistent excellence? Viineet believes in prioritizing storytelling: “I don’t simply act. I strive to become part of narratives that endure.” This philosophy lends his performances a sense of authenticity, making it feel as if audiences are witnessing real people rather than actors.
For him, genuine success isn’t measured by box office figures but by emotional resonance. “When someone tells me they see a part of themselves in my character… that connection is far more meaningful than any number. That’s my true reward.”
Viineet’s dedication goes beyond emotional investment; he has also risked his physical well-being. While filming **’Chhaava’**, he sustained a serious injury during a high-stakes battle scene. “Cuts and bruises were common during training,” he recounted. “But during the Burhanpur scene, I was thrown off a horse while wielding two swords. When I hit the ground, all I could pray was, ‘God, please let me stand again.’” He acknowledged the potential dangers of back injuries, recalling it as one of the most excruciating experiences on set.
