UP CM Yogi Encourages Youth to Become Job Creators Instead of Job Seekers

Published

On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Agra to formulate strategies for promoting investment in Uttar Pradesh and transforming proposals into actionable initiatives. Addressing a gathering of 100 unicorn companies, he underscored the importance of empowering the youth of UP to become job creators, noting their global influence in the digital economy.

He remarked that while Uttar Pradesh once struggled with limited opportunities, driven students have successfully turned their ideas into reality. He highlighted that those excelling in technology have also taken the initiative in launching startups.

Praising the youth as a vital driver of growth and a source of inspiration, CM Adityanath asserted that significant success is achievable in various fields. As an example from Bundelkhand, he recounted how five women approached him in 2019 in search of employment. Upon learning they had only completed education up to the fifth grade, the state government intervened to train them and establish a milk producers’ network.
“Today, their venture generates a turnover of Rs 1,500 crore and supports 42,000 women, with Agra’s milk producers achieving even greater heights,” he noted.

The Chief Minister emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is not only a land of agriculture but also rich in ancient knowledge and traditions. The conclave aimed at promoting investment in UP allowed leaders from unicorn companies across the country to share innovative ideas, as no unicorn can thrive without backing from investors.

He acknowledged the tradition of idea exchange, dating back to ancient times, and cited the ‘Valmiki Ramayana’. He explained that Maharishi Valmiki sought guidance from Narad Ji before composing the epic, which ultimately led to its creation. Drawing a parallel, CM Adityanath stated that current discussions among entrepreneurs are paving the way for a new era of innovation akin to a modern-day Ramayana.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s goal of transforming Uttar Pradesh into a USD 1 trillion economy, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives for fostering a robust startup culture. He acknowledged PM Modi’s efforts through programs such as Startup India, Standup India, and Make in India, which have inspired confidence and driven India’s startup boom.

Speaking to the attendees, he claimed that India’s startup ecosystem has gained international recognition, with many unicorns emerging across diverse sectors. He stated, “Uttar Pradesh has made remarkable progress, now home to over 14,000 startups, with female entrepreneurs leading 7,000 of them.”

He commended their contributions across various industries, highlighting “Physics Wallah,” a startup that achieved unicorn status through technology and innovation. He pointed out that even in areas previously lacking technological awareness, startups are now leveraging digital advancements to create significant solutions.

Comparing it to the Mahakumbh, he illustrated the role of technology in social welfare, particularly through the Khoya-Paya initiative, which reunited 28,000 missing persons with their families via a digital tracking system. He criticized Congress leaders for misrepresenting the event, emphasizing the careful planning that facilitated a safe and smooth experience for millions of attendees.

In a real-life story from Prayagraj, he recounted how a man declared dead after going missing during the Kumbh was saved thanks to community food services and returned home just in time for his family’s mourning rituals. He emphasized that faith, perseverance, and technology can yield remarkable results.

CM Adityanath stressed that witnessing the Mahakumbh firsthand is essential to comprehending its scale and organization. Drawing an analogy with innovation, he discussed how Uttar Pradesh is nurturing a vibrant startup ecosystem.

He noted, “The state has successfully introduced electric buses in all major cities, increasing their numbers in Gorakhpur from five to 40. These buses now connect rural areas with urban centers. The government’s grant policy for electric bus manufacturers further promotes sustainable transportation, attracting numerous investment proposals. With a demand for nearly 150,000 buses, Uttar Pradesh offers extensive opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs.”

On agriculture, the CM highlighted UP’s leadership in food grain and sugarcane production, stating that the state could triple its agricultural output with proper support. He noted, “Addressing key challenges like access to quality seeds and storage infrastructure is crucial. Strengthening warehousing facilities and linking production with food processing and exports could significantly boost the agricultural sector.”

He reflected on his own agricultural experience in Gorakhpur, mentioning how his reduced involvement after becoming Chief Minister led to lower productivity, which surged again when he resumed oversight.

The Chief Minister also spotlighted advancements in healthcare, particularly through the expansion of teleconsultation services. He argued that just as virtual coaching has revolutionized education, similar digital solutions can transform healthcare access.

Recalling the COVID-19 pandemic’s challenges, he noted that Uttar Pradesh increased its testing capacity from 1,000 to 500,000 tests daily. Significant progress in healthcare infrastructure has also been made, with an increase in ICU beds across the state.

Encouraging the youth, CM Adityanath stressed that Uttar Pradesh is brimming with opportunities across numerous sectors. With innovation, dedication, and the right policies, the state is well on the path to remarkable transformation.

Pakistani Troops Launch Unprovoked Fire at J&K LoC; Indian Army Responds

For the third consecutive day on Sunday, the Pakistan Army engaged in unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, prompting an appropriate response from the Indian Army. A spokesperson from the Defence Ministry stated, “On the night of April 26-27, 2025, posts of the Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the LoC in the Tutmari Gali and Rampur sectors. Our troops effectively retaliated with appropriate small arms fire.”

On the night of April 25-26, multiple Pakistan Army posts also carried out unprovoked small arms fire along the LoC in Kashmir, to which Indian troops responded effectively. On April 24, further small arms firing occurred from some Pakistani positions along the LoC, which was similarly retaliated against. Thankfully, no casualties have been reported during these ceasefire violations over the past three days.

Tensions between the two nations have escalated following a tragic incident on April 22 in Baisaran, Pahalgam, where terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), backed by Pakistan, killed 26 innocent civilians, including 25 tourists and a local resident. This cowardly act sparked national outrage, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowing to track down the terrorists and their sponsors.

J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha convened a security review meeting with Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi in Srinagar on Saturday, directing the Army to employ whatever force necessary to locate the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack. Additionally, two houses in Ganderbal district—one belonging to a LeT terrorist and another to a suspected terrorist—were demolished after being identified as potential threats linked to terrorist activities.

These demolitions are part of ongoing security measures aimed at combating terrorism, with five houses associated with terrorists having been dismantled across the Valley in the aftermath of the Pahalgam incident.

BJP Leader Reacts to Bilawal Bhutto’s Indus Treaty Threat: “Pakistan’s Recurring Habit of Nonsense”

Published

In light of rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in 26 fatalities, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh targeted Pakistani politician Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, calling out his tendency to “talk nonsense.”

In response to Bhutto’s threats regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, Ghosh dismissed his comments as mere posturing, highlighting Pakistan’s struggles with internal disorder.

“Blood is flowing in Pakistan. Sometimes Al-Qaeda is involved; other times, Afghanistan. We have already shown them what we can do. They are still naive,” Ghosh stated. “It’s Pakistan’s longstanding habit to engage in such rhetoric, but it won’t change anything.”

Bhutto previously cautioned India against interfering with the flow of the Indus River, insisting, “The river belongs to Pakistan and will remain with Pakistan. If India tries to stop the water, Indian blood will flow instead.”

Ghosh countered this by questioning the credibility of Pakistani leaders and their history with international agreements. He also dismissed Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s suggestion for a neutral investigation into the Pahalgam attack, stating, “He may want to talk, but who would want to engage with him? Who has ever honored agreements? This is all foolishness. That time is past; now action is required.”

In response to remarks from the Pakistan Army Chief about retaliation, Ghosh shrugged off the threat: “You’ve already been defeated four times; you were ready then too, right? Prepare to be defeated again.”
