UP CM Yogi Describes BJP’s Victory as a ‘Win for Service, Security, Good Governance, and Public Welfare under PM Modi’s Leadership’
In a statement to reporters, he said, “The continuous efforts in service, security, good governance, and public welfare over the past 11 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership have prevailed. I offer my sincere congratulations to all victorious candidates in Delhi and every committed BJP worker.”
CM Adityanath also congratulated Prime Minister Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, commending them for restoring the party’s stronghold in Delhi after 25 years.
He stressed that the era of false promises and exploitation has concluded, paving the way for true development and welfare schemes that will benefit Delhi residents. Reflecting on the previous 25 years, he criticized the ineffective policies that stunted Delhi’s progress and denied its citizens essential services. He condemned the misleading politics that obscured genuine welfare initiatives, asserting that this age of misgovernance has now been revealed.
Adityanath stated that Delhi, situated along the banks of the Yamuna River, is on the cusp of authentic development, where residents will gain access to welfare programs that the Aam Aadmi Party government had blocked for the past decade.
Addressing the Milkipur by-election result, he claimed it marks the end of dynastic and dishonest politics from the Samajwadi Party, as the public has embraced the double-engine government model of service, security, and good governance. He asserted, “These results demonstrate that regardless of the lies or propaganda the Samajwadi Party employs for political advantage, the people are ready to hold them accountable. BJP’s Chandrabhanu Paswan won by nearly 61,000 votes, reflecting strong faith in the double-engine BJP government and Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.”
The Chief Minister extended his congratulations to Chandrabhanu Paswan for his victory, expressing gratitude to BJP officials, coalition partners, and all dedicated Milkipur Assembly workers in Ayodhya. He affirmed that the faith shown by the people in the double-engine government will be honored and that the administration will work diligently to meet their hopes and expectations.
He concluded by emphasizing that the election results in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are pivotal in ending deception and corruption in politics. “These victories inspire us to forge a brighter and more prosperous future,” he added.

Dead Russell’s Viper Found on Vande Bharat Express
Ernakulam: A dead Russell’s viper was found on a passenger seat inside a Vande Bharat Express in Ernakulam, causing panic among passengers.
The incident took place on Friday, August 14, at around 2.30 pm. The train was scheduled to leave Ernakulam Junction for Bengaluru.
The incident came to light before the train began its journey. Vinu Varghese, who works for an insurance company in Ernakulam, had booked a ticket to travel to Coimbatore with his two-year-old child.
When he returned to his seat after visiting the restroom, he noticed the dead snake lying on the seat. He was shocked and immediately informed the Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) and railway staff.
The railway staff quickly responded to the situation. With the help of passengers, they removed the dead snake from the coach.
After the snake was removed, the passengers felt relieved. Vinu Varghese later filed an official complaint through the railway portal.
In his complaint, he questioned the safety and cleanliness standards on the train. He said passengers pay a significant amount for travelling on Vande Bharat trains and expected better safety measures.
Varghese said the railway staff later apologised for the incident.
The incident has also raised questions about how a snake entered the passenger compartment. Vande Bharat trains are air-conditioned and have sealed gangways and automatic doors that open only at designated stations.

Police detained Mallik in the Jigani area after receiving information about his alleged suspicious online activities.
