Udit Narayan Faces Criticism for Old Videos Featuring Kisses with Alka Yagnik and Shreya Ghoshal

The incident has ignited a wave of outrage online, with many condemning Narayan’s actions as inappropriate and disrespectful.
Following the video’s circulation, older clips emerged that further fueled the backlash. One notable clip from an ‘Indian Idol’ event shows Narayan kissing acclaimed singer Alka Yagnik on the cheek, visibly startling her as she steps away. In another instance from a different occasion, Yagnik appears uncomfortable when Narayan kisses her again, prompting fans to question his behavior toward female artists.
Fans flocked to social media to voice their discontent, criticizing Narayan for overstepping boundaries with both fans and fellow performers. Many labeled his actions as indecent and called for an explanation.
In response to the fallout, Narayan addressed the controversy in an interview with Hindustan Times, downplaying the incident. He explained that fans often express their admiration in exuberant ways, stating, “Fans are crazy. We are not like this, we are decent people.” He suggested that gestures like handshakes and kisses are part of the excitement from fans and shouldn’t be exaggerated.
“There are countless people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards present too. But fans feel they’re getting a chance to interact. Someone offers a handshake, while others might kiss hands… It’s all part of the fans’ enthusiasm,” he elaborated.

‘Jaat’ Controversy: Producers Release Statement Addressing Religious Sentiments

The makers of ‘Jaat’ acknowledged the criticism, stating, “We have received backlash regarding a particular scene in the film. Effective immediately, we have removed that scene. It was never our intention to offend anyone’s religious beliefs, and we sincerely apologize to those who felt hurt.” In response to the criticism and police complaint, the controversial sequence has been excised from the final cut of the film.
For those unfamiliar, the issue arose from a sequence where Randeep Hooda appears inside a church under a crucifix while a congregation prays. The scene includes elements of violence and intimidation within the church’s confines.
Co-produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, ‘Jaat’ features music by S Thaman and cinematography by Rishi Punjabi, with editing by Naveen Nooli and art direction by Avinash Kolla. This film marks Gopichand Malineni’s debut in Hindi cinema. Besides Deol and Hooda, the cast includes Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra.
Subsequently, due to a disappointing box office performance, the makers announced a sequel titled ‘Jaat 2’ on April 17. Sunny Deol took to Instagram to share the news, posting a poster and writing, “#Jaat on to a New Mission! #Jaat2.” The sequel will also be directed by Gopichand Malineni, with Mythri Movie Makers returning for production. As of now, it’s unclear if other cast members will reprise their roles alongside Sunny Deol.

Tamannaah Bhatia Added to the Star-Studded Cast of ‘No Entry 2’: Report

As reported by PeepingMoon, Tamannaah Bhatia has been cast as the female lead, with her role expected to capture a similar essence to Bipasha Basu’s character from the original film. This will be her second significant singing role in a short span, following her appearance in Ajay Devgn’s ‘Ranger.’ Additionally, it has been suggested that Aditi Rao Hydari, recognized for her work in ‘Heeramandi,’ is also in discussions for a lead part.
Earlier this year, in February, director Anees Bazmee provided a sneak peek from Greece as the team began preparations. He shared images featuring film producer Boney Kapoor, stating, “Plotting new adventures in Greece with producer Boney Kapoor ji and DOP Manu Anand ji! Prepping for the madness that’s #NoEntry2.”
In a conversation with News18, Boney Kapoor explained why it was challenging to reunite the original cast, including his brother Anil Kapoor. He hinted that filming is set to commence in June 2025, saying, “Shooting will begin soon, possibly earlier than anticipated. We’ve finalized the release date as October 26, 2025 — a Diwali release. Filming is likely to start in June or July, and we hope to stay on schedule, given the extensive post-production involved.”
He added, “This film has tremendous potential. Those who have heard the outline of No Entry 2 believe it surpasses the original. It includes all the right elements. Unfortunately, we couldn’t bring back the same star cast. I waited long enough, but everyone had their own reasons, which I respect. So, we’ve decided to refresh the cast for this new iteration.”

Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Set to Premiere on June 20, According to Reports

The report cites a source close to the film’s production, hinting at strategic plans. “Aamir wants to take advantage of the open box office window in June. He considered a May 30 release initially, but the June 20 date allows for a two-week uncontested run,” the source revealed. Additionally, it was shared that ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ will delve into themes akin to the 2007 hit, exploring empathy and the emotional complexities surrounding mental health. “Aamir is passionate about the content of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ as it embodies his trademark blend of humor, emotion, and drama. He has identified a favorable timeframe for release in June, and the marketing strategy for this social dramedy is already finalized.”
Furthermore, the filmmakers are reportedly keen to unveil the movie’s trailer alongside Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2.’ Experts anticipate that the sequel will perform well at the box office, making it a suitable platform for the trailer. “The goal is to clearly communicate the release date to audiences, and ‘Raid 2’ is expected to attract significant viewership.”
Following the lukewarm response to his previous film, ‘Laal Singh Chadha,’ Aamir is optimistic about this upcoming project. At the Republic Day celebrations in Gujarat, he shared insights on the film’s release, stating, “My next venture as a lead actor is ‘Sitaare Zameen Par.’ We’re aiming for a release by Christmas this year. It’s an entertaining film, and I appreciate the storyline. Filming has already commenced.”
Additionally, during his appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, Aamir discussed the film in an interview with Deadline Hollywood, clarifying that while it shares thematic links with ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ it features new characters and a fresh plot. Reports indicate that the film is a remake of the Spanish film ‘Champions.’
Alongside Aamir, the movie will showcase talents like Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary, among others.
