Two Killed After Tata Ace Crashes Into Tree Near Gadag

Gadag: Two people died and eight others were injured after a Tata Ace goods vehicle crashed into a tree near Harti in Gadag taluk on Thursday morning.

The victims have been identified as Muttappa Suttageri (35) and Ningappa Yalavatti (36). Both died on the spot due to the impact of the accident.

According to reports, ten people from Hirekoppa village in Gadag taluk had gone to Gojanur to watch the Kamanna festival DJ procession. The accident happened while they were returning to their village early in the morning after the celebration.

Police said the Tata Ace vehicle lost control and hit a tree. The crash is suspected to have happened due to the driver’s negligence and possible drowsiness.

Eight people were injured in the accident. Two of them are said to be in critical condition. They have been shifted to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi for advanced treatment. The remaining injured persons are being treated at GIMS Hospital in Gadag.

The front portion of the Tata Ace goods vehicle was completely damaged in the crash.

Police visited the accident spot and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered at the Gadag Rural Police Station, and further investigation is underway.

Woman’s Skeletal Remains Found in Farm

Nelamangala: Skeletal remains of a woman were found in a farm in Hale Nijagal village, located on the outskirts of Nelamangala.

The remains included a skull and a few bones of the hands and legs. They were discovered by the farm owner while working on the land. The sight caused panic, and he immediately informed the Dabaspet Police.

Police officers reached the spot along with a dog squad and conducted an inspection. After preliminary investigation, the remains were identified as those of Yamuna, a woman from Tumakuru who had been reported missing earlier.

The Dabaspet Police have registered a case and started an investigation. Officials are trying to find out whether the death was natural, accidental, or a case of murder.

8-Year-Old Boy Dies in Tragic Swing Accident at Home

Mandya: An 8-year-old boy lost his life in a tragic accident while playing at home in Mandya district.

The deceased has been identified as Bhuvith. According to reports, a temporary cloth cradle had been set up inside the house using a saree for a younger child.

While playing, Bhuvith got entangled in the saree that was tied as a swing. The cloth accidentally tightened around his neck.

He struggled to breathe and began to suffocate. His parents noticed the situation and quickly brought him down.

They rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead before arrival.

The incident has left the family in deep shock and grief. Relatives and neighbors gathered at the house as the family broke down in tears.

Car Crashes Into Tree in Davanagere; Police Inspector Dies on the Spot

Davanagere: A police officer died in a road accident in Davanagere district. The incident happened when a car lost control and crashed into a roadside tree.

The deceased has been identified as Ragunath, aged 45. He was serving as a Circle Police Inspector (CPI). He had worked in several districts across the state.

According to reports, the accident took place while he was travelling from Chitradurga towards Jagaluru. The car reportedly went out of control and hit a tree on the side of the road.

The impact of the crash was very severe. Ragunath died on the spot due to the injuries.

Ragunath had earlier served as a DCRE officer in Vijayanagara and Koppal districts. He was known for his service in different parts of the state, including Davanagere and Chitradurga.

The police department has expressed deep condolences over his death.
