Twist in Lady Influencer Blackmail Case: Wife Exposes Husband’s Alleged Affair
Bengaluru: A new twist has emerged in the alleged blackmail case involving a lady social media influencer. The wife of the accused man has now claimed that her husband filed a false complaint to hide his alleged relationship with the woman.
The case was registered after makeup clinic owner Karthik Putha filed a complaint against social media influencer Sadhana Shetty at the Jayanagar Police Station. Based on his complaint, an FIR was registered against the influencer.
However, Karthik’s wife Harshitha has now written a letter to the Bengaluru and Hyderabad police authorities, alleging that her husband created a false blackmail story to protect himself.
According to Harshitha, Karthik met Sadhana Shetty for the promotion of his clinic through social media. She stated that the two later became close friends and their relationship gradually turned personal.
Harshitha alleged that Karthik promised love and continued the relationship with the influencer. She claimed that he travelled with her to several places and also had a physical relationship with her.
She further stated that the influencer had earlier approached the police in Hyderabad last year with a complaint against Karthik. At that time, Karthik allegedly got her mobile phone stolen to suppress evidence related to their relationship.
Harshitha also accused her husband of falsely claiming that the influencer was blackmailing him using private photos and videos. She said the allegations of the woman demanding ₹1.5 crore were completely false.
