Tumko Meri Kasam: Vikram Bhatt Discusses Realizing Ajay Murdia’s Journey on Screen
“The film is loosely based on Ajay Murdia’s journey. We’ve incorporated fictional elements to enrich the narrative, as a touch of drama is crucial to keep the audience engaged,” he explained.
In addition to directing, ‘Tumko Meri Kasam’ marks Bhatt’s first foray into lyric writing. He shared that the song ‘Berang’ is particularly meaningful to him.
“This song is dedicated to those who have faced heartbreak. It’s my debut as a lyricist, which makes it all the more special,” he expressed.
Anupam Kher, who plays a key role in the film, has previously shared his enthusiasm for the project. Last August, he mentioned that Mahesh Bhatt directed the film’s ‘mahurat’ shot, calling it a privilege to receive guidance from the filmmaker behind his notable works like ‘Saaransh’, ‘Daddy’, and ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin’.
‘Tumko Meri Kasam’ is produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Indira Entertainment, with Shwetambari Bhatt and Krishna Bhatt Sarda as project directors. The film’s music is composed by Prateek Walia, featuring lyrics by Vikram Bhatt and Shweta Bothra, and is released under the Zee Music label.
