Tulu Film “Gajanana Cricketers” Set for Release on May 22
Mangaluru: The much-awaited Tulu film “Gajanana Cricketers (Jantottu Since 1983)” will release on May 22, 2026, in Mangaluru.
The film is produced under the banner of Prajwal Films. It is produced by Prajwal Shetty and directed by Keerthan Bhandari.
This movie is considered a big-budget project in Tulu cinema. It is based on cricket and the lives of players. The story also includes humor, romance, and a social message.
Keerthan Bhandari has written the story and screenplay. This film marks his debut as a director.
A major part of the shooting took place in and around Mangaluru. Producer Prajwal Shetty also plays a lead role in the film.
The cast includes Vineeth Kumar, Naveen D. Padil, Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, and Deepak Rai Panaje. Other actors include Prakash Tuminaadu, Umesh Mijar, Samatha Amin, and Anvita Sagar. Many more artists are part of the film.
Cinematography is handled by Vinuth K. Suvarna. Editing is done by Sujay Shivaram and Kaushik Bhandari.
The lyrics are written by Keerthan Bhandari. He has earlier written more than 25 songs for Tulu and Kannada films. Music is composed by Srujan Kumar Thonse.
Rohan Pereira and Santosh Lad are the co-producers of the film.

The teaser of the film was recently released on social media. It received a good response from viewers. Many people appreciated the fresh concept.
Premiere shows will be held in several countries before the release. These include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait. The premiere shows are scheduled from November 22, 2025.

Manipal: The makers of the upcoming Tulu film Kajja have released the vibrant video song “Tulunada Mann,” offering a colourful tribute to the culture and heritage of Tulunadu.
The song is sung by music director Likit Prasad Shetty and Divyanidhi Rai, with lead actor Siddharth Shetty delivering energetic dance performances. Beautifully shot by cinematographer Chantu Meppayur, the video showcases iconic locations across Mangaluru, including Kudroli, along with traditional art forms such as Bharatanatyam and Tiger Dance.
Penned by Mohan Raj and composed by Likit Prasad Shetty, the track highlights the rich cultural identity of the coastal region.

Produced by Vishanth Menezes under the Sumukha Productions banner, Kajja is directed by Jishnu S. Menon and Siddharth Shetty. The film also features multilingual actor Vasishta N. Simha in a key role.
Following special premiere screenings across Coastal Karnataka, Kajja is set for a statewide theatrical release on June 11.
