Three Sisters Die by Suicide After Alleged Online Game Addiction in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: In a shocking incident, three minor sisters died by suicide after jumping from the 9th floor of their apartment in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad early Wednesday morning.

The victims were identified as Pakhi (12), Prachi (14), and Vishika (16). Reports say the girls were addicted to a Korean online task-based game since the COVID period and spent most of their time playing it, often skipping school.

Before the incident, the sisters locked their room from inside, held hands, and jumped from the balcony around 2 a.m. Residents alerted authorities after hearing a loud noise.

Police found a nine-page diary in which the girls apologized to their parents and wrote that they could not live without the game.

Their father, Chetan Kumar, called it a huge tragedy and urged parents to stay alert about their children’s online activities. Authorities are investigating the case.

Bangladeshi Women Escape from Hassan Shakti Sadan Centre

Hassan: Two Bangladeshi women escaped from the Shakti Sadan Centre in K.R. Puram, Hassan, on Monday night. Police have launched a search operation to trace them.

The women have been identified as Seela Sheikh (34) and Sweety Mondal (27). They were staying at the centre for the past four months after being taken into custody in a prostitution-related case.

Police were making arrangements to send them back to Bangladesh. Around 8:50 pm on May 5, the two women suddenly ran out of their room while having dinner and jumped over the main gate before escaping.

A case has been registered at Hassan City Police Station. Further investigation is underway.

Son Stabs Family Members; Father and Sister Dead, Mother Critical

Koppal: A shocking incident took place in Hosa Ayodhya village of Gangavathi taluk in Koppal district, where a young man allegedly stabbed his family members.

The deceased have been identified as Pragathi (19) and Venkatanaidu (45), who were the sister and father of the accused.

The accused, Sai Venkatamani (18), allegedly stabbed his father, sister, and mother with a knife. His mother, Sowjanya (40), suffered serious injuries and has been admitted to Ballari BIMS Hospital for treatment. Her condition is said to be critical.

After the attack, Sai Venkatamani reportedly stabbed himself and attempted suicide. He is also undergoing treatment at a hospital.

A case has been registered at the Gangavathi Rural Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
