The Rampage Is Coming! Producer Confirms Production Plans for ‘Pushpa 3’
During the promotional activities for ‘Robinhood,’ an interviewer inquired about the plans for ‘Pushpa: The Rampage.’ In response, Ravi Shankar confirmed, “We will definitely make Pushpa 3.” He went on to mention that both Allu Arjun and Sukumar are currently occupied with other projects.
Shankar elaborated, “Allu Arjun is currently working on a film with Atlee, followed by another film with Trivikram Srinivas. It will take him at least two years to finish these projects.” Similarly, filmmaker Sukumar is engaged in a project with Ram Charan. “Sukumar is also working on a film with Ram Charan, which will also take him two years to complete, along with writing for Pushpa 3. Therefore, we aim to kick off production in about two and a half years, with plans to release it within three and a half years by 2028. We won’t take too long this time.”
The previous two ‘Pushpa’ films were massive hits, generating fan excitement, though there have been complaints about production delays. As ‘Pushpa 3’ approaches, the timeline for its release remains uncertain.
The last installment, ‘Pushpa: The Rule,’ debuted in 2024 as a follow-up to the 2021 sensation ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’ Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and with Sukumar at the helm, the film features Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna reprising their roles as Pushpa Raj, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, and Srivalli, respectively. With a substantial budget of around 450 crores, the film garnered over 1800 crores at the box office, making it the second-highest-grossing Telugu film of all time.
Looking ahead, there are also reports indicating that Vijay Deverakonda is set to join the cast for ‘Pushpa: The Rampage.’
