Get ready to embrace the timeless wisdom of “wax on, wax off” once again! Movie enthusiasts in India are in for a nostalgic experience as a beloved franchise makes a triumphant return to the big screen. The timing is impeccable, with ‘Karate Kid: Legends’ set to premiere in theatres on May 30, 2025.

After nearly 40 years, the classic ‘The Karate Kid’ (1984), featuring Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso, will grace Indian cinemas on March 21, 2025. But that’s not all! The 2010 reboot, starring Jaden Smith alongside Jackie Chan as Mr. Han, will follow in April 2025.

This thrilling announcement was made by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who took to Instagram to share the news, igniting excitement among fans of the martial arts saga.

The re-release is part of the promotional buzz for ‘Karate Kid: Legends’, which sees two icons, Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio, reprise their legendary roles as Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso.

The upcoming film introduces a fresh young talent, played by Ben Wang, who trains under the expert guidance of these two martial arts legends. The first trailer, released last October, teased thrilling action sequences set in New York and featured a compelling line from Chan: “In life, you only have one question: Is it worth fighting for or not?”

For those who grew up watching Daniel-san hone his karate skills under Mr. Miyagi in the ’80s, this is a golden opportunity to relive that magic on the big screen. Meanwhile, younger viewers who discovered the franchise through Jaden Smith’s iteration in 2010 will find this double feature a remarkable journey down memory lane.

So, be sure to save the dates:

‘The Karate Kid’ (1984) – March 21, 2025
‘The Karate Kid’ (2010) – April 2025
‘Karate Kid: Legends’ – May 30, 2025

Prepare yourself to bow, block, and kick your way into a wave of nostalgia!
