Sunny Pang Makes His Mark in Indian Action Cinema with ‘Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business’
‘Lakadbaggha 2’ picks up the saga of a heroic animal lover, offering a fresh take in the action thriller genre. This film reunites Pang with Indian actor Anshuman Jha, who reprises his role from the original ‘Lakadbaggha.’
With a strong foothold in international movies, Pang recently gained attention for his intense fight scene alongside Tom Hardy in ‘Havoc,’ leaving audiences impressed with his dynamic presence and skills. Now, his Indian followers will have the opportunity to experience that same energy on their local screens.
The ‘Lakadbaggha 2’ team has meticulously crafted its action sequences. Both Pang and Jha participated in rigorous training sessions in Bangkok, collaborating with the acclaimed action choreography team, Kecha Kamphakdee and Jaika Stunts, known for their high-energy fight designs.

The film is currently being shot in two locations—Kolkata and West Java, Indonesia—infusing an international essence into the sequel.
Expressing his excitement, Anshuman Jha shared, “I’ve admired Sunny’s work for years, particularly in ‘Headshot.’ It’s a dream come true to not just work with him, but to share the screen in fight sequences. His casting in ‘Lakadbaggha 2’ is more than just great—it’s a powerful statement. His action style is authentic, impactful, and deeply respected.”
Sunny Pang echoed his enthusiasm for contributing to Indian cinema, stating, “As my first Indian film, I’m amazed by the respect and passion I’ve encountered here. ‘Lakadbaggha 2’ isn’t merely about action; it has emotional depth. Reflecting on the physically demanding process, Pang remarked, “From our training in Bangkok to shooting in Indonesia, it’s been a challenging yet rewarding journey. That intensity is what sets this film apart. We’re fully committed to this project.”
