Suniel Shetty on the Re-release of ‘Dhadkan’: “It’s Experiencing a Revival After 25 Years”
Suniel Shetty, who portrayed the intense Dev Chopra in ‘Dhadkan,’ shares the excitement with fans. Ahead of the re-release, he reflected on the film’s enduring appeal.
“’Dhadkan’ is reliving itself after 25 years,” he expressed in an interview with ANI. For Shetty, the narrative remains personal. “It’s about a man deeply in love and a woman caught between her heart and her family’s expectations, alongside the steadfast support of her husband.”
He delved into the deeper messages presented in the film, stating, “In today’s world, relationships can crumble over minor misunderstandings. But ‘Dhadkan’ illustrates a love story grounded in patience, respect, and sacrifice. It shows us the essence of commitment; it transcends mere romance—it’s about values and culture.”
Directed by Dharmesh Darshan, ‘Dhadkan’ starred a memorable cast, including Akshay Kumar as the noble husband Ram and Shilpa Shetty as Anjali, torn between past and present love. Their on-screen chemistry and the film’s emotional weight solidified its status as a classic.

During her turn, Kavya nominated Gailli and Rajath. When Rajath asked her for a valid reason, Kavya said that Rajath always supports only one side in the house. A shocking moment unfolded in the Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 house when a “villain” made a sudden horror-themed entry. The unexpected appearance created panic among the contestants.
The housemates were seen scared and confused as the lights dimmed and a loud background score filled the house. Moments later, the villain character walked in, creating a tense and thrilling atmosphere.

BBK12 : The latest episode of Bigg Boss Super Sunday with Sudeep brought several entertaining moments. One of the highlights was when host Kiccha Sudeep asked Gilli if he would like to write a book about the Bigg Boss contestants. Gilli responded with humour and interesting observations.
He first chose Druvanth as a character for his book. Gilli said that Druvanth stays silent throughout the week, but when it is time for nomination, he suddenly turns into a “devil”. His funny description made the audience laugh.
Gilli then spoke about Suraj Singh. He introduced him as “the hero of the story”. He joked that Suraj entered the house through the swimming pool, but no one knew that he had actually fallen into the pool. His playful storytelling added more fun to the segment.
