Actor Sonu Sood has addressed recent rumors regarding an arrest warrant issued against him related to a fraud case. Taking to social media, he described the news as “highly sensationalized” and stressed that the situation has been exaggerated.

Sonu tweeted, “We must clarify that the information circulating on social media is highly sensationalized. To set the record straight, we were called as witnesses by the Honourable Court regarding a matter involving a third party, to which we have no ties or affiliations.”

The ‘Fateh’ actor further stated, “Our legal team has responded, and we will be providing a statement on February 10, 2025, that clearly outlines our non-involvement in this matter. We are not brand ambassadors nor have any connection whatsoever. This is merely an attempt to attract unnecessary media attention. It is disheartening that celebrities become easy targets. We plan to take strict action regarding this issue.”

Sonu Sood’s clarification follows reports indicating that a court in Ludhiana issued an arrest warrant for the actor in relation to an alleged fraud case. The warrant was signed by Ludhiana judicial magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur. The 51-year-old actor was reportedly summoned to testify in the case but failed to appear, prompting the magistrate to issue the warrant.

The court order states, “Sonu Sood has been duly served with summons or warrants but has failed to appear (absconding to avoid receiving summons or warrants). You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring Sonu Sood before the Court.”

On the professional front, Sonu recently starred in the action thriller “Fateh,” which marked his directorial debut and also featured Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vijay Raaz.
