Sikandar Advance Bookings: Salman Khan’s Film Struggles with a Slow Start

Fans of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan are eagerly counting down to the release of his upcoming action film, ‘Sikandar.’ Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the movie is set to hit theaters on March 30, promising a thrilling narrative that showcases Salman in his signature style. Pre-release ticket sales commenced on March 25, and initial figures are beginning to emerge.

According to the ticketing analysis website Sacnilk, ‘Sikandar’ had sold 80,232 tickets by 3 PM on March 26, translating to an impressive collection of 2.28 crores. When factoring in block bookings, this figure rises to around 6.74 crores. Scheduled for a grand Eid release, fans are hoping for a cinematic delight filled with exhilarating action scenes. While the opening sales may be slower than anticipated, forecasts suggest a surge in sales as the release date approaches.

Given that the film is debuting on a Sunday, it is expected that advance bookings will see a significant increase on Friday and Saturday, coinciding with the festive weekend. If early reviews and word-of-mouth are favorable, ‘Sikandar’ could be poised for a strong box office performance.

In the meantime, Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ will face competition from Mohanlal’s ‘L2: Empuraan,’ which is being released a day earlier on March 27. This pan-India Malayalam film has reportedly sold 489,266 tickets, raking in 9.39 crores, with total earnings climbing to 17.6 crores when including block bookings.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted ‘Sikandar’ a UA 13+ rating. While the board did not mandate significant changes, some adjustments were made regarding scenes involving political content. A total of 14 minutes have been trimmed from the film’s runtime. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC requested the filmmakers to mute the term ‘home’ when it appeared in ‘Home Minister’ and the blurring of a political party billboard in one scene; however, the rest of the film’s action and dialogue were approved without modifications.

‘Sikandar’ also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik, and Sathyaraj in significant roles. This film marks the reunion of Salman Khan with Sajid Nadiadwala, who previously collaborated on the 2014 blockbuster ‘Kick.’ With excitement mounting, fans are eagerly awaiting the film’s release.

The name “Miyou” has a beautiful meaning. In Japanese, “Mi” means love and “You” means gentleness. Together, the name stands for love and kindness.

Actor Jayam Ravi Breaks Down Over Divorce Dispute

Film : Jayam Ravi has spoken emotionally about his ongoing family dispute and divorce case with his wife Aarti. The actor said he will not act in any films until the divorce process is completed.

Speaking at a press conference in Chennai, Jayam Ravi said he remained silent for a long time because he did not want to speak badly about his wife. However, he claimed that false accusations were now being made against him, and he could no longer stay quiet.

The actor said he was not allowed to meet his two children. He added that he had been paying their school fees for the last eight years and had spent nearly Rs 50 lakh on their education and care. He said people were questioning his love for his children without understanding his side of the story.

Jayam Ravi also claimed that his children were being sent to school with bodyguards, which he said made him uncomfortable. He stated that he had sacrificed many things for his family and had always worked for his wife and children.
