Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has voiced his profound sorrow and anger in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, describing it as a devastating blow to innocence and tranquility. In an emotional social media post, he stated, “Kashmir, once a paradise on Earth, is now becoming hell. Innocent lives are being targeted. My heart goes out to their families. To kill even one innocent is akin to destroying the entire universe.”

The attack, which took place at Baisaran Meadow— a well-known tourist spot in Pahalgam—has sent shockwaves throughout the nation. Officials report that armed terrorists fired upon civilians, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries. The incident has garnered widespread condemnation from political figures, celebrities, and citizens alike.

Joining Salman Khan in his expression of sorrow, actor Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) to say, “Words fail to capture the sadness and anger at the treachery and inhumanity demonstrated in Pahalgam. During such times, we must turn to God and pray for the suffering families. Let us, as a nation, remain united, strong, and seek justice for this atrocious act.”

Actress Alia Bhatt described the news from Pahalgam as “heartbreaking,” expressing sorrow for the innocent lives lost—tourists and families simply trying to experience the beauty and peace of the area, now met with only grief.

Anushka Sharma labeled the incident a “cold-blooded terror attack,” and Sidharth Malhotra referred to it as a “cowardly act,” emphasizing his confidence in the armed forces. “I have complete faith in our armed forces, and I’m sure they will respond appropriately,” he declared.

At the time of the attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in Srinagar. He visited the site to assess the situation, conducted a high-level security review with top officials, and assured that justice would be served to those responsible for the attack.

Meanwhile, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrived in Pahalgam to assist the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the ongoing investigation, as search operations continue in the region to track down those responsible.
