Salman Khan Confirms ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’ with SRK is Not Happening for the Time Being
As reported by News18 Showsha, Salman Khan disclosed that the exciting face-off between him and Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’ is currently off the table. This news has disappointed many fans who had previously hoped for the film following various rumors and teasers from the stars themselves. Although audiences were eager to see the two iconic actors reunite since ‘Karan Arjun,’ it seems they’ll need to be patient a bit longer.
In February of last year, a source informed Zoom that both Salman and Shah Rukh had allocated their schedules for an April shoot. The source added that filming was expected to commence over the summer. “SRK and Salman have confirmed their availability. As it stands, the project is set to begin no later than April. The remaining cast is being finalized, and logistics are being quickly organized.” Furthermore, during a 2023 interview with Variety, Salman Khan expressed his enthusiasm for the project.
The YRF Spy Universe began its journey in 2012 with ‘Ek Tha Tiger,’ which starred Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. The film’s success paved the way for two sequels: ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ in 2017 and ‘Tiger 3’ in 2023. Additionally, the universe expanded with the release of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War’ in 2019, followed by ‘Pathaan’ in 2023 featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Looking ahead, YRF is further broadening its Spy Universe with ‘Alpha,’ which will star Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. This film marks the franchise’s first female-led spy adventure and is slated for release on December 25, 2025. Additionally, a sequel to ‘Pathaan’ is in development, promising the return of SRK as the titular spy.
Meanwhile, Salman is preparing for the release of ‘Sikandar’ on March 30. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film features Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik, Smita Patil, and Sathyaraj in significant roles, with Sajid Nadiadwala producing the project.
