Sagar Bhatia Sets the Stage on Fire at His Homecoming Concert in Delhi
Sagar kicked off the evening with a poignant rendition of “Sanson Ki Mala,” seamlessly transitioning into popular tracks such as “Sanu Ik Pal,” “Biba,” “Kabira,” “Kamleya,” “Saibo,” “Kun Faya Kun,” and “Ranjha.”
The atmosphere was further enriched with enchanting melodies like “Tumhe Dillagi,” “Saiyon Ni,” “Kive Mukhde To,” and “Halka Halka Suroor.” He concluded the night with a mesmerizing performance of “Akhiyan Udeek Diyan / Thagiyaan.”
Delhi holds a special place in Sagar’s heart, as it marks the beginning of his musical journey. He recalls receiving just 20 rupees for playing the guitar during a satsang. Interestingly, Sagar has no formal training; he learned everything through experience, with the stage serving as his classroom.
Reflecting on his performance, Sagar stated, “I’m a Delhi boy who started with a second-hand guitar and a dream. Last night wasn’t just a show—it was a reminder of how much this city has given me and continues to give.”
He added, “This city taught me how to hustle and believe in myself. Standing on that stage, in front of people who understand my journey, is pure magic. I’ll always be grateful for it.”
As part of his ongoing tour, Sagar Wali Qawwali will next perform in Mumbai on June 14, followed by a show in Bangalore on June 21. Additional performances are scheduled for Jaipur on June 22 and Indore on June 28.
