Sabrina Carpenter Enters a New Era with Her Latest Album, ‘Man’s Best Friend’
The 26-year-old singer shared her excitement, stating, “My new album, ‘Man’s Best Friend’ is out on August 29, 2025. I can’t wait for it to be yours x Pre-order now.”
Alongside the announcement, she unveiled the album cover, featuring a striking image of herself in a black mini dress and heels, posed on all fours, with an anonymous man (cropped from the photo) gripping her blonde curls.
This upcoming album follows her successful 2024 project, ‘Short n’ Sweet,’ which not only topped the charts but also solidified Carpenter’s status as a pop powerhouse.
Fans were given a sneak peek with the release of the album’s lead single, “Manchild,” which came out on June 5. The track was crafted in collaboration with renowned producers Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen.
According to Carpenter, the song was created on an otherwise ordinary Tuesday, which transformed into one of her most cherished creative experiences. “It ended up being the best random Tuesday of my life,” she shared, along with behind-the-scenes glimpses from the ‘Manchild’ music video shoot.
Describing the track, Carpenter remarked, “Writing ‘Manchild’ was such a joy. It captures the whirlwind journey of young adulthood — chaotic, confusing, yet thoroughly entertaining.” She added, “It feels like the musical embodiment of a loving eye roll, reminiscent of a never-ending summer road trip. I wanted you to have it now so you can belt it out with your head out the car window all summer long!”
Infusing her message with humor, Sabrina playfully thanked her fans, saying, “and a shoutout to the guys for testing me!!” While she didn’t specify anyone directly, the timing of the release has sparked curiosity as Carpenter recently dated actor Barry Keoghan, with rumors beginning in December 2023 before they reportedly parted ways by the end of 2024.
