Keerthy Suresh is set to deliver a blend of action and comedy in her upcoming movie, ‘Revolver Rita,’ directed by J.K. Chandru. The film’s producers announced on Wednesday that it will be released in theatres worldwide on August 27, perfectly aligning with the Vinayaka Chaturthi festivities.

The news was shared through the Instagram account of ‘The Route Official,’ one of the film’s production companies. A short video revealed the release date, stating, “Revolver Rita is all set to fire away on August 27.”

Anticipation for ‘Revolver Rita’ has been building ever since the quirky title teaser was unveiled a few months ago. In the teaser, Keerthy Suresh is seen casually shopping for vegetables when a gang of petty thieves snatches her handbag. Mistakenly believing they’ve struck gold, they rush back to their hideout—only to find the bag contains a revolver, a bloody butcher’s knife, and a bomb. Just as they contemplate their misfortune, Keerthy shows up at their door, demanding her bag back.

The thieves, in a panic, throw a barrage of questions at her: Is she an undercover agent? A crime lord? A police officer? Keerthy leaves both them and the audience in suspense, providing no answers.

In a comedic twist, she calmly answers a phone call from her mother, portrayed by Radikaa Sarathkumar, who inquires about the tomatoes for dinner. Keerthy’s cool response? “Keep the stove on sim, I’m on my way.”

This intriguing mix of suspense, humor, and action has heightened curiosity about Keerthy’s character, with fans eagerly anticipating the film’s release.

‘Revolver Rita’ is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy, featuring a lively soundtrack by Sean Roldan. The cast boasts renowned actors such as Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Redin Kingsley, Super Subbarayan, and John Vijay.

The film also brings together a talented crew, with cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan. B and editing by National Award-winning editor Praveen K. L. The action sequences are crafted by Dhilip Subbarayan, ensuring thrilling stunts throughout. MKT oversees art direction.
