Rashmika Mandanna Returns to Night Shoots for ‘Thama’

After celebrating her 29th birthday in Oman, Rashmika Mandanna is back to work. She has kicked off night shoots for her upcoming horror comedy, “Thama”, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana alongside her.

Sharing a glimpse of the stunning night sky on her Instagram stories, the ‘Pushpa’ actress commented, “Shooting nights for the next few days… So the only posts and stories you’ll see from us will be either of the moon, the camera lights, or the stars (which, in our city, are impossible to spot). Agreed?”

Back in March, Rashmika disclosed who’s behind her late-night shooting schedule. She posted a candid shot of ‘Thama’ director Aditya A. Sarpotdar, who was seated on a plastic chair while intently overseeing the shoot on a monitor. Along with the photo, she wrote, “My director… Making me do night shoots all the time… Ice bucket… Story of my life.”

The director quickly shared the image again, captioning it with, “Where mortals fear the night, the vampires find their power.” Rashmika responded with, “Wise words. He knows exactly how to make a Thama (vampire) happy!”

“Thama” tells the story of a dedicated historian who delves into ancient manuscripts, uncovering sinister secrets about local vampire legends as supernatural events begin to unfold. His quest not only reveals long-lost history but also ignites a fierce battle for the town’s soul.

The film marks director Aditya Sarpotdar’s first collaboration with both Rashmika and Ayushmann. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, the screenplay has been crafted by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara. Presented by Maddock Films, the drama will also feature prominent roles for Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

As part of Maddock’s successful horror comedy universe, “Thama” promises to deliver a captivating love story set against a backdrop of thrilling events.
