Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is set to receive the esteemed ‘Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema’ award at the upcoming IIFA 2025.In a heartfelt statement, Roshan expressed his excitement and gratitude for this recognition, describing it as “incredibly special.” He reflected on IIFA’s remarkable evolution over the years, stating, “IIFA has always been a genuine trailblazer, continuously breaking new ground and establishing fresh standards in the celebration of cinematic excellence. To receive this award as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of this event is a profoundly proud moment for me.”

Rakesh Roshan’s connection with the IIFA began back in its inaugural event in 2000, and he has enjoyed watching the platform enhance its global reputation over the years.

“The IIFA is more than an awards show; it’s a grand celebration of our narratives, our cinema, and the passion we infuse into filmmaking,” he remarked, commending the event for its significant role in promoting Indian talent on the world stage, making this honor even more meaningful.

The silver jubilee of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards is scheduled for March 8-9, 2025, in the colorful city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Bollywood stars Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar will be the hosts for the main ceremony, while the dynamic trio of Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana will take the reins for the IIFA Digital Awards.

Vijay Varma, thrilled about his debut as a host at the ‘Sobha Realty IIFA Digital Awards 2025’, expressed his personal connection to Rajasthan. “It’s a privilege to be part of IIFA’s Silver Jubilee festivities, especially in Jaipur, a city rich with cultural heritage,” he said. He fondly recalled his childhood summers spent in Rajasthan, making this occasion feel like a “beautiful homecoming.”

Varma highlighted the significance of the ‘IIFA Digital Awards’, which will honor excellence in digital entertainment—an exciting new facet of the ceremony. He also praised IIFA for its crucial role in enhancing the global visibility of Indian cinema, stating, “IIFA has always held a special place in my heart for showcasing our work on such a large stage, and this year is bound to be just as remarkable.”

The highly anticipated reality show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 has officially begun with a brand-new house, theme, and contestants. Host Kichcha Sudeep, who continues to anchor the show, has completed the shoot for the opening episode and shared an update with fans on social media.

The first episode is set to air today (September 28) at 6 PM on Colors Kannada and Jio Hotstar.

This season features a diverse lineup of participants. Actor Cockroach Sudhi, popular for his villainous roles in films like Tagaru, Salaga, and Bhima, was the first contestant to enter the Bigg Boss house.
