Raj & DK Address the Shelving of ‘Gulkanda Tales’ and Clarify ‘Rakt Bramhand’ Fraud Rumors
These clarifications come in light of concerns regarding the historical sex comedy ‘Gulkanda Tales,’ which is being produced for Prime Video, directed by Rahi Anil Barve, and features a talented ensemble cast including Kunal Kemmu, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee. Additionally, they are working on ‘Rakt Bramhand,’ a fantasy-action series for Netflix, also with Barve directing. Allegations indicate that 2-3 crores were misappropriated by an executive producer from this project, which stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi in significant roles.
In their social media posts, Raj & DK addressed the situation, stating, “At times, unexpected events can stir things up, leaving you with a choice on how to respond. Our response has always been straightforward—to focus on our work and keep striving for excellence.” They emphasized, “Challenges will persist—there will be theft, betrayal, and criticism. The most effective response is to forge ahead, explore new territories, and continue delivering unique stories. That’s our commitment, and we felt it necessary to affirm this.”
The duo also took the opportunity to reflect on their creative journey, expressing satisfaction with where they are in life: “We cherish the opportunity to craft stories consistently, in our own style, alongside our favorite collaborators, dedicating ourselves to this craft throughout the year.”
Raj & DK are renowned for their successful projects, including ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny,’ ‘Farzi,’ ‘The Family Man,’ and ‘Guns and Gulaabs,’ among others.

Manipal: The makers of the upcoming Tulu film Kajja have released the vibrant video song “Tulunada Mann,” offering a colourful tribute to the culture and heritage of Tulunadu.
The song is sung by music director Likit Prasad Shetty and Divyanidhi Rai, with lead actor Siddharth Shetty delivering energetic dance performances. Beautifully shot by cinematographer Chantu Meppayur, the video showcases iconic locations across Mangaluru, including Kudroli, along with traditional art forms such as Bharatanatyam and Tiger Dance.

Produced by Vishanth Menezes under the Sumukha Productions banner, Kajja is directed by Jishnu S. Menon and Siddharth Shetty. The film also features multilingual actor Vasishta N. Simha in a key role.
Following special premiere screenings across Coastal Karnataka, Kajja is set for a statewide theatrical release on June 11.
