Raj B Shetty Criticizes Invitation to Dolly Chaiwala at Mangalore Street Food Fiesta
Mangalore: The recent invitation extended to Dolly Chaiwala as a guest at the Mangalore Street Food Fiesta has sparked a strong reaction. Popular actor and director Raj B Shetty expressed his displeasure by commenting that Dolly Chaiwala is not from Mangalore, and if he were, his shops would have been demolished by bulldozers.
Raj B Shetty took to Instagram to voice his frustration, recalling the recent “Tiger Operation” by the Mangalore City Corporation, where street vendors’ shops were demolished with bulldozers. However, he pointed out the contradiction in inviting a street tea vendor like Dolly Chaiwala to the event.
In his Instagram story, Raj B Shetty wrote, “Dolly Chaiwala was invited to Mangalore to celebrate, but just a few months ago, street vendors were evicted through a bulldozer operation. The good thing is that Dolly is not from Mangalore, or else his shops would have been demolished too.” His post has brought attention back to the mistreatment of street vendors in the city.
