Raagraanis: Bollywood Stars and Grammy Nominees Collaborate on Unique EP

Published

on

A remarkable collaboration is emerging in the Indian music scene as a group of talented singers unites. Bollywood artists Himani Kapoor, Prajakta Shukre, Pratibha Singh Baghel, and Kalpana Gandharv have joined forces with Grammy-nominated vocalist Varijashree Venugopal on a unique musical venture titled ‘Raagraanis.’ This EP serves as a tribute to the strength, grace, and diversity of women’s voices in music.

Produced by Sufiscore in partnership with Namyoho Studios, the album features five expertly curated tracks that seamlessly merge the richness of Indian classical ragas with contemporary sounds.

Each song promises a fresh experience while maintaining strong ties to the roots of classical music.

Prajakta Shukre shared her thoughts on how the project took shape: “The concept originated while I was composing songs based on Indian ragas. Inspired to create an EP, I reached out to Himani, who enthusiastically joined me. After that, everything just fell into place.”

She highlighted the significance of the collaboration: “Each artist—Varijashree, Pratibha, Kalpana, and Himani—brought their unique charm to the compositions. It’s been a deeply rewarding process, blending classical influences with a modern touch and heartfelt lyrics.”

Himani Kapoor reflected on the pivotal moment it all came together: “It began with ‘Tere Bina Saawan,’ the first track we developed. I realized this needed to evolve into a full project rather than just a single song. I contacted Prajakta, and she was instantly on board.”

She also recalled the initial uncertainty regarding the album’s future: “At first, we weren’t sure how or when it would be released. However, once the songs were ready, I shared them with Sufiscore, who embraced the project wholeheartedly, propelling our journey forward.”

‘Raagraanis’ goes beyond vocal performances; it is backed by an exceptional team of instrumentalists and producers from Namyoho Studios, including Kamal Bharti, Nataraj Kshetricha, Swapnomoy Chowdhury, and Rajat Kumar.

Recorded at Laya Digi Studios in Bangalore, sound mixing and mastering were expertly handled by Himanshu Shirlekar, who played a vital role in bringing this album to fruition.

The tracks, including the emotive ‘Saiyaan Na Aaye’ and Varijashree’s enchanting ‘Sajan Ghar Aaye,’ beautifully incorporate a variety of instruments like the flute, esraj, saxophone, and guitar.

‘Banana Botox’ Goes Viral: Adah Sharma Tests the Unusual Beauty Hack

Published

on

Mumbai: Actress Adah Sharma has joined the viral ‘Banana Botox’ skincare trend, which has been gaining attention on social media. The unusual beauty hack involves rubbing the inside of a banana peel on the face.

The trend has become popular among people looking for simple and natural skincare methods. Supporters claim that banana peel can make the skin look smoother, softer and temporarily tighter.

Adah Sharma recently tried the hack and shared her experience with her followers on Instagram. In her humorous video, she called banana peel the “cheapest alternative to Botox” and showed how it is applied to the face.

“This is Banana Botox. Pick up a banana peel and stick it on your face with respect,” Sharma said jokingly.

She also made several humorous comments while trying the beauty hack. The actress said the method was inspired by another video and mentioned that it recommended using the hack every day for three weeks.

However, banana peel cannot replace Botox injections. While bananas and their peels contain nutrients and plant compounds, there is no strong evidence that rubbing a banana peel on the skin can produce results similar to Botox.

Botox works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to specific facial muscles. It can reduce the appearance of certain wrinkles, with results generally lasting for several months.

Other established skincare ingredients, such as retinoids and vitamin C, can also help improve skin texture and support collagen production. Keeping the skin hydrated and maintaining a balanced, nutrient-rich diet can further support healthy-looking skin.

Experts also caution that natural skincare methods are not completely risk-free. Applying banana peel directly to the face may cause irritation or an allergic reaction, especially in people with sensitive skin.

Those trying a DIY skincare remedy should first test it on a small area of skin. The product should be washed off immediately if burning, itching, redness or irritation occurs.
