R Madhavan Celebrates Sunita Williams’ Safe Return: “Our Prayers Were Answered!”

Astronaut Sunita Williams has returned to Earth after an incredible stint of over 260 days in space, and her safe landing has sparked celebrations worldwide. Among those expressing joy is actor R Madhavan, who described her return as nothing less than divine intervention.

Sharing his enthusiasm on Instagram, Madhavan wrote, “Welcome back to Earth, our dear Sunita Williams. Our prayers have been answered… it’s wonderful to see you safe and smiling.” He also shared footage of Williams being carefully assisted out of her spacecraft.

R Madhavan’s thoughts on Sunita Williams:

Reflecting on the immense challenges she faced during her mission, he stated, “After more than 260 uncertain days in space, this is a testament to God’s grace and the prayers of millions.” Madhavan commended the work of SpaceX, NASA, and the entire Crew-9 team, saying, “Great job to everyone at #spacexfalcon9, #nasa, and the entire crew. God bless you.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also celebrated her return, calling Williams an inspiration to millions. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he expressed delight at the successful return of NASA’s #Crew9, stating, “Including India’s own Sunita Williams, the crew has rewritten the narrative of human endurance and perseverance in space.”

He praised her remarkable journey and resilience, asserting that her dedication and fighting spirit would inspire countless individuals worldwide. Singh also congratulated the entire team of astronauts, scientists, and engineers involved in the mission.

The White House also celebrated the successful return of NASA’s Crew-9, highlighting President Donald Trump’s role in ensuring their safe arrival. A statement from the administration declared, “PROMISE MADE, PROMISE KEPT: President Trump pledged to rescue the astronauts stranded for nine months. Today, they splashed down safely in the Gulf of America, thanks to Elon Musk, SpaceX, and NASA!”

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, extended his gratitude to his team and NASA for the successful mission. He tweeted, “Congratulations to the SpaceX and NASA teams on another safe astronaut return! Thank you to Donald Trump for prioritizing this mission.”
