‘Pushpa 2’ Takes Netflix by Storm; Western Audiences Amazed

Allu Arjun’s much-anticipated film ‘Pushpa 2’ premiered on Netflix on January 30, quickly becoming a trending sensation on the platform. Directed by Sukumar, this pan-Indian blockbuster has taken the digital world by storm, following its explosive success in theaters. Within just four days of its OTT launch, the film has attracted an extraordinary audience.

Currently, ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ holds the top position in seven different countries. In the global Non-English (Movies) category, it impressively ranks second, amassing 5.8 million views in just four days—a remarkable achievement for a Telugu film. This is only the beginning for this grand-scale action entertainer, and viewership numbers are expected to climb further, potentially setting new records.

It’s noteworthy that Netflix secured the digital rights for this blockbuster for a staggering ₹275 crores, marking the largest deal for an Indian film in the OTT space. After dominating the box office as the biggest film of 2024, Allu Arjun’s charisma is now taking the digital arena by storm.

The film has garnered a global fanbase, stunning Western audiences with its intense action sequences. Many viewers are drawing parallels between ‘Pushpa 2’ and some of the biggest superhero films. With its number one spot in seven countries and exceptional reviews, the film’s international appeal is undeniable. Following the enthusiastic response from Western fans, Allu Sirish took to social media to express his appreciation, stating, “I am glad that ‘Pushpa 2’ is receiving amazing love from Western audiences as well. Especially given that it’s a film so different from their culture and something they might not be very familiar with.”

In its first six days of theatrical release, ‘Pushpa 2’ surpassed the ₹1000 crore mark. As the sequel to the 2021 hit ‘Pushpa: The Rise,’ the film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers under the direction of Sukumar. It features Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna reprising their roles as Pushpa Raj, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, and Srivalli, respectively, with a substantial budget of around ₹450 crores. Furthermore, plans are underway for a third installment titled ‘Pushpa 3: The Rampage,’ which will see Vijay Deverakonda joining the cast.

Taare Zameen Par Child Actor Now a Dentist in the UK

New Delhi: Sachet Seth, who played Yohaan Awasthi in the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, is now a certified dentist in the United Kingdom. He played the role of Ishaan’s elder brother in the popular movie.

While actor Darsheel Safary continued his career in the film industry, Sachet chose a different path. He studied dentistry and earned his degree from D Y Patil University.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Sachet later received a gold medal in periodontology. He is now a registered dental practitioner in the UK.

Apart from dentistry, Sachet is also passionate about aviation. In 2024, he shared a photo from an aircraft cockpit and spoke about his excitement after completing his first flight. He said the experience inspired him and encouraged him to pursue more opportunities in aviation.

In Taare Zameen Par, Sachet played Yohaan, the disciplined and academically successful elder brother of Ishaan. Despite his achievements, Yohaan cared deeply for his younger brother and supported him through his struggles with dyslexia.

Speaking about his experience working on the film, Sachet recalled that he and Darsheel had a lot of fun during the shoot. He said director and actor Aamir Khan helped the young actors understand their scenes and emotions before filming.

Released in 2007, Taare Zameen Par marked Aamir Khan’s directorial debut. The film tells the story of Ishaan, a young boy with dyslexia who faces difficulties at school and home. His life changes when his art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, recognizes his condition and helps him discover his talent for painting.

The film remains one of the most loved and influential movies in Indian cinema.
