Priyanka Chopra Reflects on 20 Years since ‘Tinka Tinka’: “I Can’t Believe It!”

Priyanka Chopra reminisced about her famous track “Tinka Tinka” from the action thriller “Karam” by sharing a video of the song on her Instagram stories. She captioned her post, “Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 20 years. #Karam.”

Directed by Sanjay F. Gupta, the film also featured John Abraham, Bharat Dabholkar, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Shiney Ahuja, Murli Sharma, Rajesh Khera, Aanjjan Srivastav, Nitin Arora, Bikramjeet Kanwarpal, and Sohail Khan in significant roles.

“Karam” follows the story of a hitman burdened by guilt who attempts to leave his dangerous profession after a traumatic event, only to have his wife kidnapped by his boss, compelling him to take on one last assignment. The film was released in theaters on March 11, 2005, but received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Recently, Priyanka shared a series of photos and videos on social media as she arrived in Odisha to begin filming for SS Rajamouli’s “SSMB 29,” alongside Mahesh Babu. The posts included images of her with flight attendants and a charming shot of her looking out of an airplane window, as well as various glimpses of her journey.

Expected to be a global saga set in breathtaking locations, Mahesh Babu’s character in the film is reportedly inspired by Lord Hanuman. If the rumors hold true, the ambitious project is budgeted between Rs 900–Rs 1,000 crores and is anticipated to be released in two parts.

“SSMB29” marks Priyanka’s return to Telugu cinema after a 23-year hiatus; her last appearance was in P Ravi Shankar’s 2002 romantic film “Apuroopam.” Meanwhile, her most recent Bollywood release was Shonali Bose’s 2019 drama, “The Sky Is Pink.”
