Preity Zinta Describes Maha Kumbh Experience as ‘Sad’—Find Out Why!

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has recently embarked on a spiritual journey to the Maha Kumbh, where she immersed herself in the sacred waters of Triveni Sangam. She described the experience as “magical, heartwarming, and a bit sad.”

On Instagram, Preity shared heartfelt reflections from her visit. Clad in a saffron salwar suit, she participated in one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, documenting the significance of the occasion through a series of photos and videos.

“This was my third visit to the Kumbh Mela, and it felt truly magical,” she expressed. “No matter how hard I try, I can’t quite articulate what I felt. It was heartwarming because I was there with my mom—it meant everything to her.”

However, the experience also prompted deeper reflections. “It was also sad because I found myself yearning for liberation from the cycles of life and death, only to confront the reality of life’s dualities and attachments. Am I prepared to let go of my family, my children, and my loved ones? The answer is no.”

Preity emphasized the profound connections that tether us. “The strings of attachment are incredibly strong. Regardless of what binds us, the spiritual journey is essentially a solitary one.” She wrapped up her reflections with a compelling thought: “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience.”

Preity’s visit to the Maha Kumbh aligns her with other celebrities who have made the pilgrimage this year. Just a day earlier, actress Katrina Kaif also participated in the event, expressing her gratitude for being part of such a sacred tradition.

Speaking to ANI, Katrina shared her joy: “I feel extremely fortunate to be here. The energy, beauty, and significance of it all are overwhelming. I’m looking forward to spending the entire day here.” Accompanied by her mother-in-law, she also received blessings from Swami Chidanand Saraswati, the president of Parmarth Niketan Ashram.

Additionally, Katrina’s husband, actor Vicky Kaushal, was seen taking a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh recently.
