PM Modi: India Emerging as the Global Factory of the Future

On Saturday, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi highlighted that India is not merely a provider of labor but a global powerhouse, transitioning from a nation that once heavily relied on imports to becoming an emerging export hub.
“Today, India is evolving into the new factory of the world,” Modi stated during a media event here.Modi emphasized the transformation of farmers, who previously operated solely in local markets, and are now successfully accessing global markets with their products. He pointed out the rising international demand for items such as Pulwama’s snow peas, Purandar figs from Maharashtra, and cricket bats from Kashmir, while also showcasing India’s defense products as symbols of its engineering and technological prowess.

The Prime Minister mentioned that India’s capabilities span from electronics to the automotive sector, demonstrating to the world not just the quantity but also the reliability of its products as a trusted partner in the global supply chain. “India is not just supplying products; we are innovating in a distinctly Indian way,” he noted, coining the term “Indovating” to describe India’s unique approach to innovation.

Modi stressed that India is developing solutions that are affordable, accessible, and adaptable, extending these innovations globally without barriers. He cited the introduction of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) as a secure and cost-effective digital payment solution that has garnered international interest, with countries such as France, UAE, and Singapore integrating UPI into their financial systems.

The Prime Minister also mentioned collaborative agreements for connecting with India’s digital public infrastructure, known as India Stack. He pointed to India’s vaccine rollout during the COVID-19 pandemic as a testament to its quality healthcare solutions. Furthermore, he highlighted the open-source Aarogya Setu app, emphasizing India’s position as a significant space power, helping other nations pursue their own space goals.

He noted India’s commitment to developing AI for the public good and sharing its expertise worldwide. “The world is closely observing 21st-century India,” he remarked, expressing that there is a growing interest in understanding and experiencing India.

Modi asserted that India is generating positive news and setting new records daily. He reflected on his vision of “Vocal for Local” and “Local for Global” and noted its realization in today’s context.

He pointed out that India’s AYUSH products and yoga have transcended local boundaries, with superfoods like makhana and millets—termed “Shri Anna”—gaining global recognition. Modi further emphasized that India supplies over 60% of the world’s turmeric and has become the seventh-largest coffee exporter globally.

The Prime Minister acknowledged India’s increasing prominence in mobile phones, electronics, and pharmaceuticals on the world stage, while also leading various global initiatives. He shared his experience at the AI Action Summit in France, where India co-hosted and will now take on the lead role, alongside the significant success of the G-20 summit under India’s presidency, which introduced the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor as a new economic route.

Modi underscored India’s advocacy for the Global South and the interests of island nations, mentioning its vision for Mission LiFE to combat climate change. He expressed satisfaction with the global expansion of Indian brands and the growing awareness of the media to seize these international opportunities.

UP Teen Dies in Street Racing Crash In Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh: A 17-year-old Class 12 student died in a road accident during a street race in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.

The victim, Naitik Kumar, was riding a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 with a group of bikers near Janeshwar Mishra Park. While racing, he suddenly lost control of his bike after hitting something on the road.

His bike crashed into a Honda Activa in front of him. He then fell onto a road divider and suffered serious head injuries.

The Activa slid across the road and hit another bike, a Kawasaki Ninja, which was moving at high speed. The Ninja rider was adjusting his action camera when the accident happened.

Naitik Kumar was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead. Police said he was not wearing proper protective gear.

Two others involved in the accident suffered minor injuries. Police are checking CCTV footage to find the exact cause of the crash.

BCM Hostel Manager Dies by Suicide

Hassan: A hostel manager working under the Backward Classes Welfare Department died by suicide in Channarayapatna of Hassan district.

The deceased has been identified as Lokesh (45). He had been serving as a warden for two hostels in Guddenahalli, Hassan, and was recently promoted as a hostel manager a few days ago. Following the promotion, he was posted as the manager of the BCM hostel in Channarayapatna.

According to reports, Lokesh allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself at his residence on Saturday night.

The exact reason for his suicide is not yet known. Local police visited the spot, conducted a preliminary inspection, and have begun an investigation into the incident.

Family Bids Emotional Goodbye to Harish Rana

New Delhi: Harish Rana’s family shared an emotional farewell before doctors began withdrawing his life support at AIIMS Delhi.

Rana suffered severe brain injuries after falling from the fourth floor in 2013 and remained on life support for 13 years.

After a plea by his parents, the Supreme Court allowed passive euthanasia, marking the first such case in India.
