Pankaj Tripathi is gearing up to share the spotlight with Konkona Sensharma in ‘Metro… In Dino’, the highly anticipated concluding chapter of Anurag Basu’s trilogy of interconnected stories. Known for his subtle yet impactful performances, Tripathi recently shared his thoughts on collaborating with the acclaimed actress for the first time.

Despite their impressive careers, Pankaj admitted to feeling a bit nervous about this collaboration. “It was my first experience working with Konkona Ji. She’s undeniably a phenomenal actress, and I wondered, ‘Will I be able to match her performance?’” he confided.

Fortunately, his anxieties faded once they met on set. Pankaj reminisced about how their bond developed effortlessly. “When we first met while filming, we chatted for about half an hour, and instantly, a friendship blossomed. The chemistry was natural—you’ll see that genuine comfort on screen,” he shared.

Both Pankaj and Konkona come from strong theatrical backgrounds, which he believes was instrumental in forging their rapport. “Working with her was a wonderful experience. She’s an exceptional artist and a truly wonderful person,” he remarked.

The film’s diverse cast also includes notable talents such as Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Saswata Chatterjee. ‘Metro… In Dino’ promises to intertwine multiple narratives, akin to Basu’s earlier work in ‘Life… In a Metro’, but with new faces and fresh perspectives.

Interest in the film intensified following the launch of its first song, ‘Zamaana Lage’, at a grand event featuring the cast, Anurag Basu, music director Pritam, and vocalists like Shashwat Singh, Papon, and Raghav Chaitanya.

This collaboration between Basu and Pritam is particularly celebrated by fans, as their partnership—first established in ‘Gangster’—has produced some of Bollywood’s most treasured soundtracks over the years.

‘Metro… In Dino’, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu, and presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in collaboration with Anurag Basu Productions, is poised to tell an emotional yet relatable story about human connections. The film is set to hit theaters on July 4, 2025.
