Pakistan Used Worse Than Toilet Paper by US, Says Defence Minister Khawaja Asif

Published

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has strongly criticized the United States, saying Pakistan was “used worse than toilet paper” by America.

Speaking in Parliament, Asif said that following US support was a serious miscalculation. He added that Pakistan is still facing the consequences of those decisions even after several decades.

He explained that after 2001, Pakistan turned against the Taliban to support the US-led war on terror. However, when Pakistan became trapped in violence, extremism, and economic pressure, the United States stepped back.

Asif said the losses suffered by Pakistan can never be fully compensated. He described those decisions as irreversible mistakes that turned the country into a pawn in conflicts driven by others.
