NHRC Requests YouTube to Remove Controversial Episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’

The complaint raised issues concerning the show’s promotion of negativity, discrimination, religious and cultural intolerance, and the perpetuation of disrespectful and obscene ideologies, particularly towards women and children. It further claimed that the program masquerades as free speech while spreading vulgar and obscene messages, thereby contributing to a harmful mindset within society.
Kanoongo stated that such content appears to violate fundamental rights related to religious freedom, as well as the safety and dignity of women and children, as guaranteed by the Constitution of India. He pointed out that the alleged material contravenes several legal provisions, including the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the Information Technology (IT) Act, and other relevant laws.
He noted that the Commission has identified links to a recent episode featuring YouTubers making explicit and vulgar remarks about women and children. He emphasized that these statements are not only deeply offensive but also represent serious infringements on the rights of women and children. The presence of such content on popular platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook poses significant risks to the safety, dignity, and mental health of these vulnerable groups.
“You are hereby instructed to take immediate action to remove the specified episode/videos from YouTube. Additionally, before removing this content, you must provide the details of the channel and the specific videos to the relevant police authorities where an FIR has been filed for further action,” he stated.
Kanoongo noted that an Action Taken Report must be submitted to the Commission within three days. It is important to mention that the Mumbai Police has already registered a complaint against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as ‘BeerBiceps,’ influencer Apoorva Makhija, referred to as ‘Rebel Kid,’ and comedian Samay Raina for using offensive language in “India’s Got Latent.”

Empowering Jharkhand’s Marginalized Youth: CM Hemant Soren’s Vision for Hostels and Libraries

“This is not merely a hostel; it will serve as a home of dreams,” stated Soren, assuring students that the government will take accountability for their essential needs, including food, housing, and dignity. The hostel aims to provide three nutritious meals daily, staffed residential support, and secure, well-maintained facilities to foster academic focus.
In addition to the hostel, the Chief Minister announced plans to establish a public library in every district of Jharkhand, each named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. These libraries will serve as active hubs for reading, research, and intellectual growth, rather than mere symbolic honors. “Ambedkar’s legacy deserves to be celebrated through institutions, not just statues,” Soren emphasized.
This initiative is part of a broader shift in the state’s educational policy, moving from welfare to empowerment. Many welfare hostels in Jharkhand, previously neglected, are now undergoing renovations to enhance sanitation, safety, and staffing, aimed at restoring public trust in state-run facilities.
At the school level, the government-run CM Schools of Excellence are achieving commendable results, with numerous students scoring above 90% this year. More parents are now opting for these schools over private institutions due to improved facilities and dedicated educators. “This subtle shift represents one of Jharkhand’s most compelling education narratives,” Soren remarked.
To aid students seeking higher education, the government has broadened initiatives like free coaching and digital classes for competitive exams. The Guruji Credit Card Yojana, which offers up to ₹15 lakh in collateral-free education loans, has empowered many from underprivileged backgrounds to pursue degrees in fields such as medicine, law, and engineering.
The event was attended by Minister Champa Linda, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, along with senior officials including Kripanand Jha, Arwa Rajkamal, and Welfare Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha. Their participation underscored the government’s commitment to viewing education as a fundamental pillar of development, rather than an act of charity.

India’s Commitment Unwavering: PM Modi Delivers Strong Warning to Pakistan Following Operation Sindoor

“This is India’s unwavering commitment, one that no force can undermine,” he stated, asserting that future discussions with Pakistan would focus exclusively on Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Modi warned that continued support for terrorism would lead Pakistan to economic devastation.
“There will be no trade, no dialogue, and no water provided to Pakistan—that is the steadfast resolve of New India,” he affirmed.
“No power can sway India from this firm stance. Engaging in violence against India will cost Pakistan dearly,” Modi said at a public gathering in Palana, Bikaner District, exactly a month after the Pahalgam terror attack.
He emphasized that any future terrorist attack would hold Pakistan accountable for severe repercussions. “We will respond appropriately, and the specifics of our response will be determined by our armed forces,” Modi noted.
“There will be no distinction between terrorists and their supporters, whether they are state-backed or acting independently. The rationale of state and non-state actors will no longer be tolerated,” he cautioned, adding that nuclear threats from Pakistan would not intimidate India.
“This operation wasn’t about revenge; it represented a new form of justice for India. This is the fierce embodiment of a ‘Samarth Bharat’,” Modi asserted.
He pointed out that Pakistan cannot prevail in a direct war against India, which is why it has resorted to proxy terrorism for decades.
“Make it clear—Modi may be calm, but he is driven by passionate resolve,” he remarked, likening his spirit to fiery sindoor, a symbol of unwavering commitment.
Earlier, Modi discussed the advancements made by his government in expanding and upgrading the Indian Railways network. More than 105 projects, with an investment of ₹26,000 crore across 18 states, were either inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid via remote control from Palana. This included the unveiling of 103 redeveloped railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Present at the event were Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnav and Arjun Lal Meghwal, and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
After arriving at Nal Airport, the Prime Minister engaged with airmen at the IAF base that was previously targeted by Pakistan’s failed airstrikes. Expressing satisfaction, Modi noted, “Pakistan attempted to strike this base but failed to cause any harm, demonstrating our strength and capability.”
Five years ago, after the Balakot strikes, PM Modi chose Churu, Rajasthan, for his first public address following the surgical strikes, and he also paid respects at the Karni Mata shrine.
