The eagerly awaited trailer for ‘My Melbourne’, an anthology film helmed by renowned directors Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Rima Das, and Onir, has been unveiled. Set to be released in Indian theaters on March 14, 2025, the film intertwines four deeply personal narratives against the stunning backdrop of Melbourne.‘My Melbourne’ promises to be more than just a cinematic journey; it is an emotional investigation into themes of identity, resilience, and human connection. Drawing inspiration from real-life events, the film addresses critical issues such as race, gender, sexuality, and disability, shining a light on stories that often go unheard.

1. **Nandini** (Directed by Onir) – This narrative centers on Indraneel, a queer Indian man who journeys to Melbourne to reconnect with his estranged father as part of an important ritual. Their journey through a fractured relationship unfolds into a poignant story of forgiveness, love, and healing.

2. **Jules** (Directed by Arif Ali, creatively influenced by Imtiaz Ali) – The newlywed Sakshi’s life takes an unforeseen turn when she encounters Jules, a homeless woman. Their unexpected friendship transcends social barriers and illustrates the profound impact of human connection, proving that bonds can flourish in the most surprising circumstances.

3. **Emma** (Directed by Rima Das) – Emma is a gifted yet self-doubting deaf dancer who faces discrimination and insecurity. A fortuitous meeting with another deaf dancer sparks a transformation in her life, empowering her to embrace her individuality and find confidence through dance.

4. **Setara** (Directed by Kabir Khan) – Based on a true story, this segment chronicles the journey of a 15-year-old Afghan girl who escapes the Taliban with her family and starts anew in Melbourne. While dealing with the trauma of her past and family challenges, she finds comfort in cricket, using the sport to reclaim her identity and sense of belonging.

The recently released trailer provides a captivating glimpse into the film, immersing viewers in the lively streets of Melbourne. The opening sequence showcases a young woman dealing with workplace stress, her anxiety manifesting as she struggles with cooking.

Moments later, the visuals shift to a deaf ballerina performing gracefully, a father and son confronting their emotional turmoil, and the Afghan girl finding solace through cricket. Notably, ‘Setara’ features a lead actress portraying her own journey, adding an authentic touch to the narrative.

Film :Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has shared his views on the film Dhurandhar 2. He praised the movie but raised concerns about one key aspect.

In a recent podcast with writer Hussain Zaidi, RGV said he liked the film’s storytelling and direction. However, he said the portrayal of Dawood Ibrahim did not match his understanding.

In the film, Dawood Ibrahim is shown as a mastermind controlling terror activities from Pakistan. He is referred to as “Bade Sahab.” RGV said this version may not be accurate.

He added that, based on what he knows, Dawood has been inactive for many years. He believes the gangster stepped away from crime about 20 years ago.

RGV also said that no one can fully confirm the truth about such figures. He stated that both the filmmaker and critics may have different views.

Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, is a spy-action film. It stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, along with a strong supporting cast.

Dhurandhar 2 Crosses Major Milestone at the Box Office

Film: The Revenge has achieved a major milestone at the global box office. The movie stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role. It is the second part of the Dhurandhar franchise.

The film is close to completing one month in theatres. Before that, it has already made history. The Dhurandhar franchise has now crossed Rs 3,000 crore worldwide. It is the first Indian film franchise to reach this mark.

This achievement puts it ahead of big franchises like Baahubali by S. S. Rajamouli and Pushpa starring Allu Arjun.

After 26 days, the film earned Rs 1,311.68 crore gross in India. Its net collection in India stands at Rs 1,095.67 crore. On Day 27, it collected Rs 7.05 crore domestically.

Overseas, the film earned Rs 1 crore on Day 27. Its total overseas collection has reached Rs 416.25 crore. The worldwide gross collection is now Rs 1,727.93 crore.

The first part of the franchise, Dhurandhar, had earned Rs 1,307.35 crore. Together, both films have collected around Rs 3,019 crore worldwide.

The film had a strong start at the box office. It earned Rs 102.55 crore on its opening day. It also made Rs 43 crore from paid previews.

In the first week, the film collected Rs 674.17 crore. In the second week, the earnings dropped to Rs 263.65 crore. In the third week, it collected Rs 110.60 crore.

The film has also set another record. It is the highest-grossing Indian film without earnings from Gulf countries and China.

The cast includes Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt. They have returned to reprise their roles.

Experts say this success shows a new trend in Indian cinema. Film franchises are now gaining global recognition. Multi-part stories are becoming more popular among audiences.
