Music Director A.R. Rahman Admitted to Hospital in Chennai
Sources from Apollo Hospital reported to IANS that his condition is stable, and a formal medical update is anticipated shortly.
Recently returned to Chennai after a performance in the UK, Rahman shared the stage with international pop sensation Ed Sheeran during a concert in the city just last month. He also attended the music launch of his upcoming film ‘Chaava’ the following week.
This hospitalization comes on the heels of a medical emergency involving his ex-wife, Saira Banu, who was admitted and underwent surgery, as confirmed by her lawyer, Vandana Shah.
Known by his initials ARR, A.R. Rahman is one of India’s most revered music composers, record producers, and multi-instrumentalists. He has made a significant impact in Tamil and Hindi cinema, as well as in various international projects. Throughout his illustrious career, Rahman has garnered numerous accolades, including six National Film Awards, two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, and 18 Filmfare Awards. In 2010, the Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan, the nation’s third-highest civilian award.
Rahman’s journey in film music began in the early 1990s with Mani Ratnam’s ‘Roja’. He quickly rose to fame with iconic soundtracks for films like ‘Bombay’, ‘Kadhalan’, ‘Thiruda Thiruda’, and ‘Gentleman’. His first Hollywood project, ‘Couples Retreat’, earned him the BMI Award for Best Music Score, but his global breakthrough came with ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, which won him two Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song.
In addition to his musical accomplishments, Rahman is actively engaged in humanitarian work, supporting various charitable endeavors. In 2006, Stanford University recognized his contributions to global music, and in 2008, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rotary Club. In 2009, he was honored in Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. With his far-reaching impact across multiple generations and industries, Rahman continues to inspire millions with his music and philanthropic efforts.

Woman in Saree Impresses Internet with Michael Jackson-Inspired Dance Moves
A content creator from India has gone viral on social media for performing Michael Jackson’s famous dance moves while wearing a traditional saree. The video features Komal Kumari dancing to the King of Pop’s iconic song Billie Jean.
The performance stands out because Komal executes challenging moves, including body isolations, robotic popping, and the legendary moonwalk, with remarkable ease. Many viewers were amazed by her ability to perform such technical steps while dressed in a saree.

Comedian&Artist Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances
Bidar: Siddharth Parashanura, a comedian and artist known for his appearance in the popular reality comedy show Majaa Bharatha, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Karnataka’s Bidar district.
The 36-year-old was a resident of Teachers Colony in Humnabad town. According to family members, Siddharth left home with friends on June 13 and did not return.
After he remained missing for three days, his family approached the Humnabad Police Station on Monday to file a missing person complaint. During the investigation, police tracked his mobile phone tower location and gathered information about his movements.
Later, Siddharth’s body was found in a forest area along Hanakuni Road in Humnabad taluk. The discovery has raised suspicion, and police have begun a detailed investigation into the case.
The body was shifted to the BRIMS Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Authorities said the exact cause of death is yet to be determined.

Police are investigating all possible angles to find out what led to the death. The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Humnabad Police Station.
Officials said the post-mortem report is awaited and will help determine the exact reason behind Siddharth Parashanura’s death. Further investigation is underway.
