MP Logistics Policy Introduced to Enhance Supply Chain Efficiency

Published

on

On Sunday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the launch of the ‘Madhya Pradesh Logistics Policy-2025’ aimed at bolstering the state’s economy and drawing in investors during the upcoming ‘Global Investors’ Summit’ (GIS), scheduled for February 24-25 in Bhopal, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that the primary objective of the new policy is to establish a reliable, efficient, and strategically sustainable world-class logistics infrastructure within the state. He projected a significant reduction in logistics costs by 2030, aligning them with global standards to position Madhya Pradesh as an appealing destination for both domestic and international enterprises.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the policy would be instrumental in enhancing the state’s economic growth by establishing Madhya Pradesh as a key logistics hub, attracting investments and facilitating trade. He believes that over the years, this initiative will elevate the state’s economy significantly.

To ensure effective execution, the government plans to focus on minimizing port turnaround times, enhancing supply chain efficiency, and implementing a PCS-One system for electronic delivery orders, which will improve the transparency and swiftness of logistics processes.

Furthermore, the state will establish Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) laboratories to uphold safety and quality standards. Innovations, including Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for doors, will bolster security and expedite the movement of goods, while a Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) will enable smooth data sharing across the logistics value chain.

Dr. Yadav also introduced the Green Card Scheme, a major feature of the policy, which will afford expedited approvals to logistics operators adopting environmentally friendly transportation methods.

To enhance infrastructure for both domestic and international logistics, the government plans to develop over 20 cargo terminals equipped with cutting-edge facilities to facilitate efficient freight movement. This initiative is expected to lower transportation costs, boost business profitability, and attract more investments in the state.

A significant aspect of the ‘Madhya Pradesh Logistics Policy-2025’ is its focus on enhancing export capabilities. The policy provides for the establishment of export parks, offering developers full reimbursement on stamp duty and registration fees, financial support of up to Rs 40 crore or 50 percent per acre for infrastructure development, and up to 25 percent or Rs 25 crore for setting up common pre-processing facilities for exporters.

Moreover, this policy promotes environmentally sustainable practices by encouraging zero-liquid discharge waste management systems and centralized waste management solutions, with a 50 percent reimbursement incentive.

The initiative aims to boost exporter participation by promoting export diversification, improving efficiency in export-oriented units, and strengthening logistics infrastructure tailored for exports. Its goals include increasing export volumes, enhancing the value of products manufactured in Madhya Pradesh, and creating job opportunities within the logistics sector.

Dr. Yadav stated that by lowering logistics costs, both traders and entrepreneurs would benefit, leading to job creation in warehousing, transportation, and logistics firms. This presents a significant opportunity for both domestic and foreign investors, as reduced logistics costs will enhance storage and transportation capabilities for agricultural products.

The Chief Minister remarked that this forward-thinking policy is poised to transform Madhya Pradesh into a logistics powerhouse, driving economic growth, sustainability, and global competitiveness.

BJP Leader Reacts to Bilawal Bhutto’s Indus Treaty Threat: “Pakistan’s Recurring Habit of Nonsense”

Published

In light of rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in 26 fatalities, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh targeted Pakistani politician Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, calling out his tendency to “talk nonsense.”

In response to Bhutto’s threats regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, Ghosh dismissed his comments as mere posturing, highlighting Pakistan’s struggles with internal disorder.

“Blood is flowing in Pakistan. Sometimes Al-Qaeda is involved; other times, Afghanistan. We have already shown them what we can do. They are still naive,” Ghosh stated. “It’s Pakistan’s longstanding habit to engage in such rhetoric, but it won’t change anything.”

Bhutto previously cautioned India against interfering with the flow of the Indus River, insisting, “The river belongs to Pakistan and will remain with Pakistan. If India tries to stop the water, Indian blood will flow instead.”

Ghosh countered this by questioning the credibility of Pakistani leaders and their history with international agreements. He also dismissed Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s suggestion for a neutral investigation into the Pahalgam attack, stating, “He may want to talk, but who would want to engage with him? Who has ever honored agreements? This is all foolishness. That time is past; now action is required.”

In response to remarks from the Pakistan Army Chief about retaliation, Ghosh shrugged off the threat: “You’ve already been defeated four times; you were ready then too, right? Prepare to be defeated again.”

Pakistan Army Chief Emphasizes Hindus and Muslims as Distinct Nations

Published

Just days after Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir referred to Kashmir as Pakistan’s “Jugular Vein,” he reaffirmed his view that Hindus and Muslims constitute “two separate nations.”

While addressing the passing out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul, Abbottabad, Munir emphasized that the two-nation theory is rooted in the belief that Muslims and Hindus are fundamentally distinct, not unified.

“Muslims differ from Hindus in every facet of life—religion, customs, traditions, thought, and aspirations,” he stated.

He further asserted that the existence of Pakistan is the result of “unparalleled struggle and sacrifices,” underscoring the armed forces’ duty to protect it. “Our forefathers made immense sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan. We know how to defend it,” he affirmed.

This statement comes just days before the Pahalgam terror attack by the Resistance Front (TRF), a faction of Lashkar-e-Taiba, which tragically resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists. Prior to this event, Munir had made a bold declaration at a Convention for Overseas Pakistanis in Islamabad regarding Kashmir, stating, “Our position is clear: it has always been our jugular vein, it will continue to be our jugular vein, and we will not forget it. We will not abandon our Kashmiri brothers in their courageous struggle.”

Highlighting the differences between Hindus and Muslims, he urged, “You must share Pakistan’s story with your children so they understand that our forefathers recognized our distinctions from Hindus in every conceivable way.”

“Our religions are different, our customs are unique, our traditions vary, our thoughts diverge, and our ambitions differ. This was the foundation of the two-nation theory,” he concluded, emphasizing that “we are two nations, not one.”
