Milipol India 2025: Launch of Homeland Security Event in Delhi

Milipol India 2025, a prominent international platform dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and discussion in homeland security, commenced on Wednesday at Yashobhoomi (IICC) in Delhi. The event is being organized by InterAds Exhibition Pvt. Ltd., in partnership with the Ministry of the Interior of France and Comexposium, with support from India’s Ministry of Home Affairs and France’s Ministry of the Interior. The inauguration was led by François-Noël Buffet, minister attached to the French Ministry of the Interior.

The event began with a poignant one-minute standing tribute honoring the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Srinagar.

During his keynote address, Nityanand Rai, Minister of State for Home Affairs, underscored the increasing significance of Indo-French collaboration in the security domain, particularly in co-producing advanced technologies. Rai stated, “We can work together to strengthen our security forces, invest in co-production of cutting-edge technologies, and cultivate an environment that enables startups, MSMEs, and industries from both nations to collaborate, innovate, and thrive.”

Speaking on strengthening bilateral economic relations, he noted, “France stands as India’s fifth-largest trading partner. Collectively, we can make impactful investments in our security forces, fostering a security climate that encourages innovation, co-production, and mutual growth for MSMEs in both countries.”

François-Noël Buffet emphasized the enhancing relationship between India and France in defense and security matters, advocating for further expansion of this partnership into emerging sectors like Artificial Intelligence (AI). He referenced important discussions that took place during the AI Action Summit in Paris on February 10–11, involving the President of France and the Prime Minister of India.

UP Teen Dies in Street Racing Crash In Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh: A 17-year-old Class 12 student died in a road accident during a street race in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.

The victim, Naitik Kumar, was riding a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 with a group of bikers near Janeshwar Mishra Park. While racing, he suddenly lost control of his bike after hitting something on the road.

His bike crashed into a Honda Activa in front of him. He then fell onto a road divider and suffered serious head injuries.

The Activa slid across the road and hit another bike, a Kawasaki Ninja, which was moving at high speed. The Ninja rider was adjusting his action camera when the accident happened.

Naitik Kumar was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead. Police said he was not wearing proper protective gear.

Two others involved in the accident suffered minor injuries. Police are checking CCTV footage to find the exact cause of the crash.

BCM Hostel Manager Dies by Suicide

Hassan: A hostel manager working under the Backward Classes Welfare Department died by suicide in Channarayapatna of Hassan district.

The deceased has been identified as Lokesh (45). He had been serving as a warden for two hostels in Guddenahalli, Hassan, and was recently promoted as a hostel manager a few days ago. Following the promotion, he was posted as the manager of the BCM hostel in Channarayapatna.

According to reports, Lokesh allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself at his residence on Saturday night.

The exact reason for his suicide is not yet known. Local police visited the spot, conducted a preliminary inspection, and have begun an investigation into the incident.

Family Bids Emotional Goodbye to Harish Rana

New Delhi: Harish Rana’s family shared an emotional farewell before doctors began withdrawing his life support at AIIMS Delhi.

Rana suffered severe brain injuries after falling from the fourth floor in 2013 and remained on life support for 13 years.

After a plea by his parents, the Supreme Court allowed passive euthanasia, marking the first such case in India.
