Mangaluru: Mangaluru is witnessing cloudy weather with intermittent light rain on Wednesday. The temperature is expected to remain between 25°C and 31°C throughout the day.

The morning and afternoon are likely to remain cloudy with a few light rain showers. The maximum temperature may reach around 31°C.

Rainfall is expected to increase during the evening. Thunderstorms and passing showers are likely between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm. The chances of rain during this period are estimated to be between 50 and 70 percent.

The night is expected to remain cool with a minimum temperature of around 25°C. Scattered light rain may continue in some parts of the city.

Winds are expected to blow from the west at a speed of 5 to 13 kmph.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an advisory for Coastal Karnataka. It has warned of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty surface winds in the region.

People are advised to remain cautious while travelling during the evening. Residents are also advised to follow the latest weather updates, as coastal weather conditions can change quickly.

Mangaluru: A new healthcare facility, Spoorthi Aclin Specialty Clinic, was inaugurated on Sunday at the ground floor of the Inland Avenue building on M.G. Road, Ballalbagh, Mangaluru.

The clinic was inaugurated by Dr. A. J. Shetty, Chairman of A.J. Group of Institutions and A.J. Hospital and Research Centre. He cut the ribbon and officially opened the clinic. The dignitaries also lit the ceremonial lamp. The logo of Spoorthi Aclin Specialty Clinic was unveiled during the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A. J. Shetty said that such specialty clinics are the need of the hour. He said people will benefit because different medical services are available under one roof. He wished the clinic success and asked the doctors and staff to provide patient-friendly service with a smile.

Mangaluru South MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath, Inland Group Chairman and Managing Director Siraj Ahmed, and Indian Medical Association Karnataka State Branch Senior Vice President Dr. M. Annayya Kulal Ultur were present as chief guests.

Doctors, staff members, and representatives of Spoorthi Medical Academy also attended the event. Among them were Dr. Darshan B. M., Dr. Swathi J., and Dr. Akash S. Shetty.

Mangaluru: The fourth season of the Namma Kudla Nritya Bhajana Competition was inaugurated on Sunday in Mangaluru. The opening ceremony was held at the auditorium of Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple.

The event began with the traditional ritual of pouring oil into the lamp and lighting it. The ceremony was led by Manila Sri Dhama Mohanadasa Paramahamsa Swamiji, Sadhvi Sri Matanandamayi of Odiyoor Kshetra, and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohanadasa Paramahamsa Swamiji blessed the gathering. He said that the chanting of the Lord’s name should bring peace to the world. He also prayed for good rainfall, a good harvest, and relief for farmers. He said such Bhajana programmes help promote the welfare of society.

Sadhvi Sri Matanandamayi also blessed the event. She wished the fourth season of the competition great success. She said many Dance Bhajana competitions are now being held in different places. She added that Namma Kudla laid the foundation for this movement. She said India’s Bhajana culture is attracting attention across the world. She hoped that more people would spread devotion through Bhajana.

Several guests attended the programme. They included Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple Administrative Committee President Jairaj H. Somasundaram, Vice President Urmila Ramesh, SRR Masala owner Shailendra Y. Suvarna, Karuna Infra Properties Managing Director Karunakara, Treasurer Padmaraj Poojary, Vice President B. G. Suvarna, committee members Kishore Dandakere and Krithin Amin, and judges Dr. Arun Ullal and Soundarya Alva.

Namma Kudla Channel directors Harish Karkera, Leelaksha Karkera, Suresh Karkera, and Mohan Karkera were also present. Staff members of the channel attended the inaugural programme.
