Man Injured After Strong Wind Lifts Tin Shed in Uttar Pradesh
Bareilly: A man was seriously injured after strong winds lifted a tin shed and threw him into the air during a heavy storm in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district.
The incident happened in Bamiyana village under the Bhamora police station area on Wednesday. The man, identified as Nanhe Miyan, was holding a rope attached to the shed when powerful winds struck the area.
The storm lifted both the man and the tin sheet nearly 50 feet into the air before he fell to the ground. He suffered fractures in his hands and legs and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Speaking to reporters, Nanhe Miyan said he was trying to stay safe by holding the rope, but the strong wind snapped it.

The incident took place as severe rain and thunderstorms hit several parts of Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, at least 89 people lost their lives, while many others were injured. Several houses and livestock were also damaged in the storm.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to monitor the situation closely and speed up relief and compensation work.

Thiruvananthapuram: Several devotees from Karnataka have expressed anger over the arrangements at the Kottiyoor Temple festival in Kerala. They have alleged poor management and rude behavior by temple staff and security personnel.
Devotees claimed they had to wait for 8 to 10 hours for darshan. Long queues stretching up to 5 to 6 kilometers were reported. Some visitors felt unwell due to the long wait, while others returned without having darshan.

Videos circulating on social media reportedly show crowding, pushing, and security staff behaving harshly with devotees. Some devotees also alleged that even those who paid ₹1,000 for VIP tickets did not receive proper access for darshan.
