According to reports, Farah has envisioned a sequel, and Shah Rukh is enthusiastic about her proposed direction for ‘Main Hoon Na 2.’As reported by Pinkvilla, Farah is crafting the script for ‘Main Hoon Na 2’ through Red Chillies Entertainment, the production company owned by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan. A source close to the project shared, “Farah has developed a concept for the sequel, and Shah Rukh is excited about the direction she’s envisioning. The screenplay is currently underway, with a combined effort from Farah’s writing team and the in-house writers at Red Chillies.”

The insider also mentioned that while the idea of the sequel has generated significant buzz, SRK remains cautious about the project. He emphasizes the importance of having a strong script for the follow-up to such an iconic film. “Shah Rukh is adamant that he doesn’t want to approve a sequel merely for the sake of nostalgia. He fully grasps the significance of ‘Main Hoon Na’ and has requested a script that exceeds the impact of the original.”

Reports indicate that King Khan is expected to review the script in mid-2025 before making a decision. If he gives the green light, fans can anticipate another exciting cinematic experience from this actor-director duo. Furthermore, this would be their fourth collaboration; they initially joined forces for the blockbuster ‘Main Hoon Na,’ followed by the hit ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007, and culminated with ‘Happy New Year’ in 2014.

In other news, Shah Rukh Khan is currently involved in Sidharth Anand’s upcoming film ‘King,’ which will feature Abhishek Bachchan as the main antagonist and will also mark the theatrical debut of Suhana Khan. Meanwhile, fans eagerly await more details about the highly anticipated sequel. The original 2004 film also starred Zayed Khan, Sushmita Sen, Amrita Arora, and Suniel Shetty in significant roles.
