Bollywood’s timeless icon, Madhuri Dixit Nene, recently took a walk down memory lane as she celebrated the 25th anniversary of ‘Pukar.’ In a heartfelt message on Instagram, she shared her appreciation for the lasting affection the film—and particularly its iconic song ‘Que Sera Sera’—continues to garner.

“It’s truly amazing to commemorate 25 years of ‘Pukar’! This film is dear to my heart—not just for its compelling narrative and the unforgettable collaboration with Anil Kapoor, Rajkumar Santoshi, and the entire crew, but also for the overwhelming support it continues to receive from all of you. ‘Que Sera Sera’ is still a beloved classic today! Thank you for keeping the magic alive. Here’s to cinema that transcends time,” she wrote.

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, ‘Pukar’ premiered on February 4, 2000, and was recognized for its captivating storyline and outstanding performances. This action-thriller featured Anil Kapoor alongside Madhuri Dixit, supported by talents like Namrata Shirodkar, Danny Denzongpa, Shivaji Satam, and Om Puri.

While the film had moderate box office success, it earned two National Film Awards: the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration and Best Actor for Anil Kapoor.

The music, composed by A.R. Rahman, significantly contributed to ‘Pukar’s’ popularity, with ‘Que Sera Sera’ holding a cherished position in Bollywood’s musical heritage.

Madhuri Dixit remains active in the industry and was last seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. Directed by Anees Bazmee, this horror-comedy boasted a star-studded ensemble, including Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri, and Rajpal Yadav.

Despite competing against Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ performed remarkably well at the box office.
