Kundapur: Lorry Rams Parked Car in Thekkatte
Kundapur: A serious road mishap occurred late at night on NH-66 near Thekkatte, where a lorry crashed into a parked Innova car. Miraculously, the occupants a local entrepreneur and his son walked away without any injuries, though the vehicle was left completely mangled.
The survivors have been identified as Ananth Nayak (57), managing director of Sri Ganesh Silks, Thekkatte, and his son Anoop Nayak (23). The father and son had halted their car by the roadside with its parking lights on, waiting for another person before proceeding to the Koteshwar Sri Pattabhi Ramachandra Temple to attend a bhajanotsava.
At that moment, a lorry carrying onions from Pune to Mangaluru rammed into the rear of the stationary vehicle, causing extensive damage. Both Ananth and Anoop remained safe, which they attributed to wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
Kota police reached the location soon after, carried out an inspection, and registered a case in connection with the accident.
