KRK Files Petition in High Court to Dismiss FIR for Disparaging Comments About Dhanush
In his petition, submitted through his lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, KRK claims that the Bandra police have wrongfully charged him under Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which addresses acts or words intended to insult a woman’s modesty. KRK has dismissed the allegations as baseless and unfounded, asserting that his tweet did not involve any reference to a woman.
To provide context, in 2017, Kamaal R Khan reportedly shared a derogatory tweet about Dhanush, questioning how any woman could allow Dhanush to touch her. The tweet allegedly stated, “I can’t understand how any girl could allow this bhanggi dhanushkraja to even touch her Yukki! He is really dirt.” He also accompanied his remarks with inappropriate images of Dhanush and his co-star, leading to accusations of insulting a woman’s modesty. However, KRK contends that the tweet in question does not exist.
The petition further argues, “Even if the allegations are presumed to be true, the term ‘yukki’ used in the alleged post has no recognized meaning in any language or context. Without a clear and universally accepted understanding, the term cannot be deemed obscene or insulting to a woman’s modesty as defined under Section 509 of the IPC.”
KRK’s attorney noted that the petition was filed last year, emphasizing that the petitioner is an innocent individual who has been unfairly accused without any wrongdoing on his part. Additionally, KRK asserts that he was unaware of the FIR’s existence for three years, only discovering it in 2020. “The FIR was filed in 2017, but I was not made aware of it until 2020. Thus, the FIR was registered three years before I was informed, which contravenes the principles of natural justice and fairness.”
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay retained the Perambur constituency after winning from two seats in the Assembly election and resigned from the Tiruchchi East seat.
Reports now suggest that popular actor, director, and choreographer Raghava Lawrence may contest the upcoming by-election from Tiruchchi East on behalf of Vijay’s TVK party. The news has been widely discussed on social media.
Raghava Lawrence is known for his charitable work and support for differently-abled people, orphaned children, and senior citizens. His strong public image is seen as an advantage if he enters the race.
Earlier, rumours claimed that actress Trisha Krishnan would contest from the constituency, but those reports were later dismissed.

The by-election for Tiruchchi East has not yet been announced, and there has been no official confirmation regarding the party’s candidate. However, reports indicate that Vijay may choose a close associate to contest from the seat.

The film is said to be based on life in a slum and revolves around a beggar mafia story. Earlier, the team released a poster of Duniya Vijay in a colorful outfit and hat, creating curiosity about his character.
