Kim Soo Hyun Releases New Statement Addressing Allegations Related to Kim Sae Ron
As the situation intensifies, old photos, social media posts, interviews, and text conversations between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron have surfaced. An old interview featuring Soo Hyun and then-child actress Kim Yoo Jung has gone viral. In addition, the coincidence of Soo Hyun’s birthday and the date of Sae Ron’s passing has led to heightened scrutiny, especially after a deleted post celebrating his birthday re-emerged online.
Following these accusations, GOLD MEDALIST released a detailed statement acknowledging the relationship between Soo Hyun and Sae Ron but clarifying that it did not occur while she was a minor. The agency denied any connection to her financial issues, mentioning that the legal notice sent to Sae Ron was merely procedural. They also offered to present evidence contesting the claims and criticized the Garo Research Institute for attempting to tarnish Soo Hyun’s reputation.
During a recent press conference, Sae Ron’s family revealed that Soo Hyun’s agency sent her a notice regarding a potential claim for damages if she posted similar content on social media or contacted any of the agency’s actors. In response, GOLD MEDALIST made public the text of the original notice, emphasizing that they were not demanding compensation for damages related to social media posts or contact with agency actors.
The agency stated, “As confirmed by the certification, we did not request any compensation from Kim Sae Ron regarding damages from the drama. It is also not possible to claim damages for social media photos or actor contact.” They further clarified that the revised notice aimed to provide clearer information about their claims against her, highlighting their willingness to negotiate regarding repayment terms of any debts owed.
GOLD MEDALIST also condemned HoverLab for asserting that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron while she was still a minor, providing evidence to prove that the individual in a leaked image with Kim Sae Ron is not Soo Hyun.
In light of this controversy, reports indicate that Kim Soo Hyun’s project ‘Knock-Off’ may be at risk of cancellation.
